Halo 4's campaign may have flaws but it's still better than 5's since it has a better story and well-written. The mods like this one even improved the campaign for the fans to enjoy.

I mean if you already brought some cut-overhauled content. Why not just do it with everything? Well at least what can be reasonably done by one guy. The reason why the art-game design in the final product turned out like it did. Is that the team developing halo 4 had to overhaul most of the what was intended, or already done in early-middle 2011, because microsoft wanted it to be more like "what was popular at the time". Not surprisingly what the art-game design team's original vision is better then what it ended up being turned in to. For example the gun that became the lightrifle was a energy crossbow that's both functionally distinct, and visually consistent with the forerunner aesthetic. Not just a slightly a slightly different battle rifle with an sunny d flavor. Also there's everything that happened to the forerunner architecture. While still being faithful to at-least the core spirit of the elements from the bungie game's, but not in a way like infinite. Were we are just going to awkwardly ape the original game's. So the fanboys won't get mad.

In the making of science-fiction movies, there is a term called “greebling” which refers to the act of basically taking random scraps and adding them to a model or prop to give it depth and detail. Of course, these details have no meaning and when overdone can be rather frustrating as a viewer as it gives your eyes nothing to focus on. The reason I mention this is because Halo 4 is the only game I’ve ever seen do this to it’s sound-effects. You greebled audio. You did something that should have been physically impossible and did it with such a heavy hand you ruined it. The BR sound has always been the worse in my opinion and does the exact same thing over greebled models do, my brain is left looking or the original object underneath all of that pointless detail and it just frustrates me.

I had a prof who worked on the sound design of halo 4. After viewing this. To me it seems like some head spund designer probably felt the guns sounded not "futurisitic scifi" enough to add all the metallic tube sounds lol. Like idk its still bullet guns in thr future it can be whatever you want it to be. He spoke of varuous aspects of hoe the direction of the game was just so different from actual halo.

Real late to the party, but i actually Love halo 4's fuel rod sound, and i consider it absolutely iconic. I can see why people might find it weird since it isn't really a "gun" sound at all, but i like that, it sounds unique and distinctive but still powerful. And i think it makes sense for it to not sound like a gun since it is a makeshift fuel rod dispenser more than a gun.

Ahhh this makes me sad, not because of the sound but because halo infinite has hardly any weapons and the ones it does have are absolute garbage, yes like practically all brute weapons (except the skiwer which is a laser spartan much more troll than the laser spartan.)

Some of these sounds I like some of them I just prefer to stay the same and this is a nice example of never over complex things add too many layers it ruins things like adding too much seasoning to chicken.

You should have held down the trigger and emptied the clips of the fully automatic weapons, then rapidly fired the others and emptied their clips as well. The sounds change when you do this.

i'm probably one of the few people who didn't hate halo 4, i still think it's the second best 343 halo game that's part of the mainline games, but after hearing some of the UNSC guns without the added sound effects or some with the third person version of the sound effects, yeah holy crap some of them sound so much better! there are some exceptions but still modders if you're watching, try to add some of these to MCC the "storm" covenant guns sound alright ether way, the focus riffle does sound weak but at that point just find a way to import one of the old sounds from halo 3 or 2 anniversary, or hell make newer cooler ones if needed as for the promethean guns, honestly i've always like how they sound, though some of firing does sound better and louder in 3rd person than in first, but over all i'd be fine not changing those SFXs
