Yes you can change the SSD if you want as the encryption is not embedded in it.

Sorry to hear that you were scammed but that doesn’t solve the fact that you’re device is encrypted with an MDM remote management lock, as I have stated changing the SSD will not remove the encryption, the encryption is not integrated in the SSD if you have a T2 Mac 💻 then you can do a hardware removal which will indeed get rid of it for good 👍 but if you have a silicon MacBook then only a premium bypass is possible.

I really am having an issue. i even have proof the mac is mine but i have an a2141 and it just continues to go in and out of dfu not completing the checkm8 process. my other mac is ancient usb only, my newer 13 pro im waiting on a new ribbon for the notorious keyboard/trackpad death. i do have an imac but it has a thunder port not c.. i have a thunder to usb c cord coming today. any ideas? is the imac not fast enough? it screams.. but anyway im so frustrated and start school the 15th and i need this macbook pro working.. i bought it let my ex use it and she said she'd give me the macbook back to let her share our dog.. she gets my 2,000 dog and then locks me out of the mac.. thats the least of what she did.. cost me 15 years and a business i built making 200k... lawyers are at work. but im screwed right now.. PLEase give me some advice

Is yours still untethered because if it’s untethered it will update OTA no RE-LOCK but apple patched the untethered about 6 weeks ago so it’s back to tethered again so yours must be untethered 👍

If it’s on iOS 6 it’s not iCloud locked the iCloud encryption came out on iOS 7 so if you erase all content and settings there will be no lock but if you have updated it to iOS 9.3.5 which is the highest beta it can go to anyway then it’s possible it would be activation locked.

Have you updated to the latest version 5.2 if you have then the problem is either your phone is sim locked or a refurbished device or blacklisted if your device has any of those issues that would be the reason.

Thank you for your kind words I appreciate that, believe me if there was a free method I would of brought it from the shadows to the light but the 1 thing I have learned in this game my friend is that nothing is free NOTHING. There’s more good news this method now works on WiFi only iPads from A12+ but regarding the iMessage 💬 and FaceTime that’s still a problem for now hopefully will be fixed on the next update fingers crossed 🤞

So the exploit keeps failing it won’t even go up in stages are you putting it into DFU mode correctly because once in DFU correctly it cannot keep restarting.

Tried all steps again same thing update Bridgeos same pb. Contacted checkm8 support asked me to retry all steps again same pb finally they refund me. And worse when i would like to try again as i am widrawed from their server i need to buy but when connected for buy receive msg "payement denied...." by asking them again they said A2179 is not supported..... No it’s not a problem my friend no you didn’t do anything wrong if you done exactly what they asked you 2 then it’s clearly something wrong with the device although it’s compatible it may of had other problems with it, maybe hardware related problems that’s probably the reason Y it would not allow you to proceed with the bypass, this very rarely happens to devices that are compatible as your model is most certainly compatible, sorry to hear that.

NO there’s not supposed to be any enrolment notifications @ all you may need to back everything up and restore it to bypass it again I would not advise people to update my advice is stay were you are betas are not necessary, I told the people when a bypass comes out for sequoia I will do content on it.

If you’re bypass was done before the patch came in I would not risk it, if it was recently after the patch then no it will not lock your device.the main thing here is there working on a fix of FaceTime iMessage 💬 and notifications if you don’t know about this I suggest you watch the video all the way 👍
