I think you should write out scripts ahead of time because most of what you've said is inaccurate in more then one way. There's no game to review bomb so that isn't happening. Duviri has some DNA of what they've learned working on soul frame but has nothing to do with it. It's not a soulslike mmo, they've made that clear and Steve said the name is an unfortunate coincidence. Tennocon only had a 2 minute trailer, not 20 minutes. Beta hasn't even started so no one outside of Digital Extremes QA has played it.

With over 700 videos on the channel I always write scripts but realized that was taking away from me expressing myself on my channel. I wanted to sit down and actually talk about the game from the trailer I watched on KZfaq and from what I saw the combat and animations just look off. The combat looks like a soulslike I played plenty of them and its look similar to that formula

When soulframe gameplay overview released I watched 18 minutes of that and I wrote down notes based on that gameplay demo of them talking about it so as a regular person whose not super deep into the discord and all the extra bells and whistles you can only imagine what people think of the game

I mean 1 year of development so far for what they got definitely impressive but there's just a lot that is worrisome especially them showcasing it live to the whole convention. I'm not part of the discord or anything so getting the info like general audience is scary cause that's gonna be a lot of people first impressions of the game and it'll lose before it can actually swim. I want it to succeed so just expressing worries

Disagree on the visuals especially when you do a side-by-side comparison of like the trailer for warframe 1999 there's just no excuse for a game to look dark and grainy like bad, not genuine bud like just clay an in almost 720p vibe, then the glints are everywhere for no reason and more into the backstab, for Christ sake the sword doesn't even connect all the way. They focused more on the little details like the hub and character customization then actually focusing on actually making the game playable which is a big slap in the face when not just is this coming from a company that as a well renown mmo but when you see the in game cutscene like the rat biting you having more design in animation the actual characters its absolutely deplorable and also too last note is that they are more leaning towards a brute force combat somewhat like god of war style with elden ring bit like summons and for some reason flute playing still with the shape its in the question remains of why even show it to the public anyways

Granted I have not watched the Warframe 1999 trailer yet I plan to cause I wanna talk about it. The visuals in my eyes reminds me of some other games I played from indie games so it's where I made my connection and the story in itself. The combat and animations are bad that backstab was horrible lmao. The thing is I want this game to succeed. I don't ever wish Ill-omen on games especially when they want to step out of there comfort zone. It's very early on in development so hopefully they see the criticism and decides to fix it

Understandable on that one but when you have a company that has been around a couple decades there's really no excuse especially sense the know how to make combat based games like darkness 2 and dark sector which really the could have just copied there general ideal from that and made it soulsbourne if thats what even they were trying for and what most soulsbourne games are like Lies of P or even Mortal shell like yeah its been in work for two years but there's game and development teams that are ions behind DE that have made their game look decently look better and its because the story and all of that is GREAT and that's where the problem is because your story may be great but your game can be bad Forespoken and Flintlock has proven that

I’ve now clocked 20 hours into the game and I’m pretty much hooked. Still a bit iffy on the 6 week seasonal reset but I can save my house and certain progression apparently so I think it should be okay? We shall see. But so far I have been playing it almost every day

Looks to me like the Final Fantasy 15 I've ever wanted. Tone, artdesign, premise is pretty similar. Just with a turnbased system like I would have expected after Final Fantasy 10 and 13. In my understanding, this game isn't so much about evolving the turnbased genre as a whole. It's more about bringing the best together and putting it into a western cinematic triple A level. Because there is not much like that since Square Enix dropped the turnbased systems on new final fantasys. Very much looking forward to this game. Especially since the creative director is a huge Final Fantasy 8 fan, as I am. So I'm hoping for some good dungeon design and a addictive minigame as well.

I enjoyed ff15 for the best I could honestly. My fav FF will always be ff9 and after some days later since posting it's definitely evolving into a better step in the right direction like it's not trying to reinvent the wheel and like you said it's a culmination of all the JRPGs from the golden era and making it more easier accessible for new players that are new to turn based in general.

I'd guess that each character gets 8 specific classes tailored to their respective playstyles, one for each elemental(fire, water, wind, earth, moon, wood, light, dark). They've revealed, classes for five of the elements, but not for all the characters, put Val's dark class in the trailer, and there is an official screenshot of Palamena in what I suspect is an earth class Mage, judging by the copper/rocky look of the fit. We even get to see the class skill progression menu thing and six of the elements have been unlocked in it. And the highlighted skill is for Val's Runic Knight class, which implies he has gotten ahold of six elemental classes so far put of the eight, not including the dark knight. That crab boss it was grabbing is usually weak to dark element damage.

@@ChaoticInc From what I've seen, you're correct on Julei being a healer and Morley being a dediacted dps. Careena is kinda like Reisz and her light classes, in that she can dps, too, but with additional buffing spells. Palamena is definitely the attack Mage. And Val gets both types of classes Duran was known for, balanced tanks and slow but uber powerful dps. The main difference between the mandatory the Trials of Mana cast is that this cast has more magic to their skillets, like how Val in his Liege form(red armor, sword and shield) burned everything while attacking, or how he can use dark magic like an ethereal hookshot to pry high enemies off of walls.

@@ChaoticInc I also just realized something curious about Val's classes. Not only do they fall in one of two different roles, but the opposing element of a tank or dps gets the other. Calling it now, Val's earth, wood, and light classes will be tank, dps, and tank respectively. In fact, I will also call that the light class will be called either champion/hero/savior(those three were synonimous in Trials depending on translation) or paladin.

just checking your vid and thinking of buying. this is actually Mystic Chronicles from way back when. it is a great game with a good crafting system however the bosses are level scaled towards the end making it extremely difficult if you've grinded way too much so as to one shot everything, so its not a new game at all, at least 20yrs old

Did you read there deep dive on there website cause they do inventive ways in the turn base genre combat with real time action mechanics with parry and dodge and jump and this isn’t your typical turn based game you have more of interaction with your opponent where you don’t sit and wait for them to do the action sequence. You actually press buttons on the controller wheather it’s your turn or enemies turn to fight. I’ve been waiting for a long time for those mechanics with the turn based games I couldn’t into them because I didn’t have patience with sit and watch the action sequences happen after pressing the moves!

when watching it i saw 3 major inspirations. the dynamic camera of persona 5. shifting around with each menu screen. the timing based real time actions of something like Paper mario/mario rpg. and the xbox 360 exclusive Lost odyssey. which also had a timed perfects with attacks. the most innovative thing i saw was that there seems to be a shooting skill which allows for 3rd person shooting... im really excited for this game
