when watching it i saw 3 major inspirations. the dynamic camera of persona 5. shifting around with each menu screen. the timing based real time actions of something like Paper mario/mario rpg. and the xbox 360 exclusive Lost odyssey. which also had a timed perfects with attacks. the most innovative thing i saw was that there seems to be a shooting skill which allows for 3rd person shooting... im really excited for this game

Looks to me like the Final Fantasy 15 I've ever wanted. Tone, artdesign, premise is pretty similar. Just with a turnbased system like I would have expected after Final Fantasy 10 and 13. In my understanding, this game isn't so much about evolving the turnbased genre as a whole. It's more about bringing the best together and putting it into a western cinematic triple A level. Because there is not much like that since Square Enix dropped the turnbased systems on new final fantasys. Very much looking forward to this game. Especially since the creative director is a huge Final Fantasy 8 fan, as I am. So I'm hoping for some good dungeon design and a addictive minigame as well.

Did you read there deep dive on there website cause they do inventive ways in the turn base genre combat with real time action mechanics with parry and dodge and jump and this isn’t your typical turn based game you have more of interaction with your opponent where you don’t sit and wait for them to do the action sequence. You actually press buttons on the controller wheather it’s your turn or enemies turn to fight. I’ve been waiting for a long time for those mechanics with the turn based games I couldn’t into them because I didn’t have patience with sit and watch the action sequences happen after pressing the moves!
