Do you not mean aerobic capacity...? therefore with oxygen. Anaerobic is without oxygen and therefore the muscular system. Aerobic is the cardio vascular system.

I think it's about anaerobic metabolism. When you are exercising body switches to anaerobic metabolism which causes accumulation of lactic acid which can cause cramps

In terms of Anaerobic Fitness, football demands repeated bursts of intense exertion, necessitating interval training to cultivate this aspect of fitness. Interval training involves altering work-to-rest ratios to optimize performance and avoid the accumulation of lactic acid-a by-product of vigorous exercise.
