I pull them off, put some double sticky tape on them and reuse them. If they beat up? Stick them under some clear grip.
@VintageEvolutionSkateboardsКүн бұрын
That's what I use to do, then I found how to seal them in with the board to make them last longer and display better. Everything will age away, my goal was to make all things last longer. The V.E.S. seal does so much for all of the skateboards history. To find good solutions to these old boards fading away you have to think outside the box. Skateboard collectors have been doing the same thing for so long but yet the boards are still fading away. Time to change the game and thats what V.E.S. is, a real game changer. And my videos show it can happen. Hope you like them.

The new ones are heat transfer. It's just a giant sticker that will dry out over time.old boards are screen printed with about 5 to 7 layers of paint.

I understand but so many don't, thats why I do this to help the new generation of collectors. Because at the end of the day years from now they will be in-charge of our history after we are gone.

Respect the work ethic and passion. An older board definitely needs the the right plastics for the look. When it comes to skating then the functionality matters. I have moved away from plastic risers in new builds and use the Real skateboard skateboard Ply risers. They did a good job making different sizes to match different companies baseplates. They also slide well in nose slides.

I agree, and I'm fine with Powell putting them out as skater boards, but they call them collectors boards and thats where I have a problem. I also have a problem because Powell doesn't even try to help us collectors preserving their history. And that's where V.E.S. comes in and loud, and I'm kicking in the doors till they here us !!!

@VintageEvolutionSkateboards2 ай бұрын
It saved mine too. Kept me in line a little better than most around me. Skateboarding can give you focused skills for life. But as it is a "FAD" now, the focus is fleeting in today world. Skaters need strong leaders not cheap greedy ones. If we can't stand up for our past, good or bad, how can we stand up for the future and be committed?

We need to support skater own companies. Jeremy kline with Jk industries Jason Lee with prime wood Jim Greco-Roman with Hammer skateboards.All really good screen printed skateboards.Those are really collectable not the garbage that powell and santa cruz are feeding us.Toxic skateboards are the only ones making good stuff as of now.

They are so light, my hawk army color was lighter than any of my old boards. Compare if you can, warping is only half the problem with them. They are sold as collector boards but I don't see them lasting, nor will the graphics, I don't care what anyone is saying. great for skating false promise as a collector in my view. Great for the fad market !!!!

@@VintageEvolutionSkateboards the only good reissues boards I've found are Brand x-Toxic, Blockhead and the 70s style pre-griped Alva decks. As an old school skater and collector, I get what the value of our history we as individual skaters have with a board. But in todays boards and how the graphics are made, not to to last, that will only intern hurt the collectors market in the future. The skateboard industry only compensates with copies of the pros and thats fine, even tho it distorts the collectors market, but they should at least consider all the other skaters that have there own history on boards and may want to save them to be handed down to future collectors. Anyways, its those old boards that got them were they are today and they should have better respect for there own history than they do an at least consider what we as collectors are going through collecting them. I believe with the right direction we can turn collecting from FAD into hobby opening up a huge market for collectors and skaters. This intern will make the industry rich and the collectors and skaters happy their history will last not just the stars they prop up for us to remember. But to do that they will have to give back and acknowledge they are not the only ones with history.
