I had a Variflex Ramp Rat and then wound up with a Nash Fly Me. The board was spongy and the wheels sucked. It felt so slow compared to my Variflex. Even so, I'd kill to have it hanging on my wall next to my o.g. Banzai. Cool video . Keep em coming.

First memories of a skateboard to me was my older brothers Nash board with pink trucks yellow wheels and a white board with the black grip tape exposing the white top in a kind of zebra pattern. Crazy I just saw a Duane Peters video post earlier today. Noticed a comment about a skateboard collection and starting something up, come to find this video just now and realized the commenter was you. Recognized the profile pic. Strange how that worked out. Awesome collection you got going, and cool but shitty story about your friends foundation board. Awesome you found one just like it almost. I had the luck of finding a original 80s complete when i was younger at a flea market in Laredo Tx out of all places while visiting my dad for the summer. Payed $5 for it and it was in perfect condition with good grip tracker trucks Powell peralta street bones B-83 wheels just can’t remember the pro model want to say the name Clause sticks out had some type of balloon heads on the graphic and a alarm clock on the top of the grip side think it might of been exploding , I forget . But it skated great and this was around 2006 when I found it . Caught myself using it more than my regular board and friends and brothers would all want to ride it and try it out. Really made you feel like you were in the 80s shredding the streets.😅 Anyways ended up losing the board along with other irreplaceable stuff in a house fire later on but was happy to have gotten the chance to find a treasure like that and skate it / put it to good use instead of just hanging it up. Wish I could remember the brand and graphic and pro of the board. Anyways , cool work your doing..!

Hay thanks for looking, and great comments. These old boards hold a special place in our harts and should have a chance to keep going into the future. But the only way that can happen is if the next generation of skaters can invest in them and not be hooked on copies. I will try to save as many as many as I can and the ones I do will last far into the future. Maybe one day the world will understand the work I am doing and maybe one board I work on will be like the one you had and lost... Thanks again RF owner and founder of V.E.S. have a great day....

@@VintageEvolutionSkateboards yeah man no problem, will always take the time to watch skate related stuff . Even more so with the archival type work you are doing with these old-school boards and bringing them back to life. Love it.! Totally understand and get it. Forever a special place in my heart. My brothers and I dedicated a lot of our younger kid days through adult years to skateboarding and spent countless hours/ days doing what we loved. When it wasn’t as cool of a thing as it is today, and got a lot of shit over it. Would be awesome if you came across that same board , I’d buy it from you.! I’m now going crazy trying to find a image of it online, there needs to be a museum of every skateboard ever made maybe then I could point it out. Hopefully it comes back to my memory.! Much love keep doing what your doing.✌🏾

Great video. Memory lane for sure. My brother and I got Nash Nightmare boards as gifts for our first boards. Didn’t take long until I trashed it and bought a Powell dragon and bats Cab. I can’t remember what I ever did with that Nash but as cheap as it was I would say it definitely contributed to my love for skateboarding.

Nice, just trying to save some of the skateboards history that a lot of us had. Even though we didn't ride them long it's still apart of our great skateboards history. I't's funny that so many collectors think they are junk, maybe because they had a better start on a better board. To you snobby collectors, you will never understand, but we will....🤘🤘

Nice, the one thing all skaters share is the board. And more skaters seem to have had Nash boards as there first board than any other board at the time... Worth saving I would say just for that reason alone.... thanks for looking....

@VintageEvolutionSkateboards I am glad I found your channel and can't wait to check out more of your videos. Back when I had that Nash executioner, I knew nothing about skateboarding and just remembered how disappointed I was because the wheels hardly rolled. Times have definitely changed in the quality of big box store boards.

Most my skating is as a cruiser these days, that how I know the old Nash boards are great. They just were made junky and ahead of there time back in the 80's LOL !!!

Same here. I still skate curds but at 41 it's getting harder. I live in New Hampshire_there isn't many parks and even less worth skating so it's mostly crusty,broken,pothole filled roads for me lol.
