New subscriber here! This is AMAZING 👏 Thank you for taking the time to make this video! Do you have a tutorial on how you use this frame as your scroll frame?
@MichStitch3 жыл бұрын
Hello! thanks for your comment :) I just sit my hoop on the two knobs and let it rest against the top. I've since found it works a lot better if you use the magnetic cable ties to hold it to the frame (by wrapping around the side bars then onto your fabric) because just the hoop itself is a bit light, so when you're trying to use the frame it lifts off a bit too easily... does that make sense? :D feel free to DM me on my instagram @mich_stitch_1 and I can send you some photos if you'd like M

@debbiearmstrong13023 жыл бұрын
did you make a new frame with a bar on the top? Is it on a new you tube?
@MichStitch3 жыл бұрын
Hi Debbie, Do you mean because the fitting was incorrect? It was designed to have the bar on top, I just couldn't push that one on because one of the elbow fittings was the wrong type?
@debbiearmstrong13023 жыл бұрын
@@MichStitch I was wondering why there was no bar on it. I thought i hear you say you would post a new you tube with the bar on top. thanks for explaining.

I would like to make this stand but first need to know how the scroll frame fits. Please describe this or where this may be in your video.
@MichStitch4 жыл бұрын
Hello! The scroll frame rests on the two knobs that come out of the bottom front and then leans back on the top rail (if that makes sense). Also, if you go to my Instagram account (Mich_Stitch_1) and scroll through there a photos of the frame sitting on the stand in there. You have to scroll quite far down... but they’re definitely there 🙂

Hi Michelle, I watched your thug lyfe video #4. First time I had heard about your chennel....now I want to see your past videos. This is a great tutorial. I have always stitched in hand and wondered how the heck anyone wrestled with those other stands. Yours looks really doable and I can involve the hubby...lol. Thanks! BTW...I am SOOOO with you on the old eyes issues...argh..

I'm glad you liked the tutorial! I love my scroll stand, cheap and does exactly what it says on the box :D I recently bought myself a magnifying lamp (when I moved I broke the other lamp accidentally) and I've never looked back! Takes a little while to get used to but now I can't live without it! Thanks for watching!

Hi, I'm a new subscriber to your channel, really cool. I most definitely going to watch your other videos. How much if you can say it cost you to make the PVC lap stand?? Love how you cover it up with the contact paper. 👍
@MichStitch6 жыл бұрын
Janet Stopol it cost me about $30 AUD for the PVC pipes and joiners. The contact was more expensive because I ordered it from the US (it would be a lot cheaper if you’re located in the US) but there are other, less expensive options if you read all the helpful comments here 😊 thanks for stopping by! Happy stitching 😊😊

OK, now I'm hungry! Great video Michelle. Thanks for sharing your design. I am one of those "stitch in hand" people but listening to the evolution of your stitching style has made me rethink that. I also get a lot of neck and shoulder strain and find it hard to stitch for extended periods of time. You have inspired me to consider switching up the way I do things. :D

Thank you for this video. My friends and I just made one for me. Cannot get things like stands, etc down here in Ecuador. Have a friend who is a master wood worker who is making scroll frame separaters for me. Then I need to go find dowel rods which I am told can be purchased here. Am not going to paint the PVC pipe pieces. I may glue/paste fabric to them.

Just found you and finished watching all your videos. Glad to see you as our Flosstube family. Your projects look great. Good-looking frame here. I've done very similar style and also had the type that's together with frame. I used easier way to cut my pipes- there is a cutter that looks like fat scissors and it cuts with just several squeezes. I didn't want to use any saws:) keep on stitching! Jurgita
