Tkackuk, Chycrun and another experienced Russian forward well suited with Michkov even if he's just a locker room presence for both 1st rounders and Farabee, Sandstrom and Tuomala. Just a thought.

The big thing that's missing on this team is scoring. So not giving a long term extension to the most consistent guy on the roster and leading scorer for the team is wrong? That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a long while.

When Torts gives Michkov the Brink, Frost treatment he's going to say screw this I am going back to khl...Torts could possibly destroy the future of this organization...I honestly believe he is the reason we don't have cutter.

Crazy to me how indifferent the KHL is to a player like Michkov, they usually worship that type of young star. But hey, their loss is our gain - he won't be lacking for attention when he does end up over here. *Question:* HB mentioned (so, it could be entirely imaginary) Flyers are still kicking on some of the Ottawa D-men especially Chychrun who I feel like always gets linked to us - say that is a goal, obviously he plays top 4 with Sanny, York, Drys. Seeler has the extension, not really going anywhere. But then you have ONE spot on the third pair for Zamula or Attard with Risto feeling like the odd-man-out based on his salary. But that also makes him hard to move. Is this ACTUALLY a situation that makes sense for us? Also funny because Eric Johnson felt like a good veteran presence that helped stabilize us, and in another situation I'd like to see him back - but in THIS situation ... what in the world are we doing with this defensive logjam?! Trade or not. I also formally request that you stop trying to trigger us with Marner trade suggestions, which are more evil each time they come up. 🤣

There’s names out there that we should be looking at. Not top talent which isn’t really available.. but two players that would be immediate upgrades and build around what we have intact. Keep konecny and trade coots Laughton and risto to set it off.

This was a done deal weeks ago when rumors started. I love the 5 teams besides Chi there fans are crying that Flyers fixed this and he wont be good fucking comical. Flyers finally have realize u need European talent and there going nuts with Russian players. 20 picks next 2 drafts. Dont waste a season lets get this going. Jason I'm the guy on twitter who doesn't like Torts. He started to turn me off when he kept jerking players in and out and the younger ones who I wanted to see develop but then doesn't fire Rocky Thompson cause he's his buddy. There PP was so bad that 99% of the teams would have fired him and Thompson is terrible whereever he has been and before people say we'll Flyers talent we'll they freaking got 90pts so they must have sum talent. Thompson was with Vegas and Vegas had alot of talent and there PP was so bad. As soon as he was canned it improved so much. Something like that shows u it's not all about the talent Thompson stinks and Torts is bringing him back it's mind boggling

Danny needs to keep bringing in more players with speed. I think we can all agree that teams with speed are usually the better teams. Sure you need talent, goaltending, and coaching too but speed can make up for those a little bit. I agree with all of Jason's comments as not being in the playoffs affects me too.

I 100% disagree. This team is nowhere near being ready to start acquiring next step players in trades. Last season was a mirage and hurt them in the long run. It fooled the front office (and Jason apparently) into thinking they are better than they are.

Do you think Flyers are in a spot yet to do that big move? I don't yet, I think we should wait another year until Atkinson is off books and a few dead contracts also come off. We gotta get the cap in a good spot with the players we want to build with. Again I believe that's not for my opinion is not this upcoming season but next and hopefully by then we can shed dead contracts, bad contracts , and players we just don't want and hopefully have a good foundation when Mitchov comes over and then we make a couple bigger moves.

Laughton should have been dealt two years ago. Guys like him are a dime a dozen.
@Murph_.
@Murph_. 4 күн бұрын
No, he's really not. Leadership alone puts him TWO steps above every other 'dime a dozen' player. He's also a guy who can play anywhere in the lineup. Ain't no 'dime a dozen' guys that can do that. To me, he's like Coots. Coots never got a chance at the top 6, and so was only a defensive guy. Then he gets on a top line and has 76 points 2 straight seasons. Laughts really never got a chance at a top line spot, and I feel that, if he did, with a guy like Giroux or Voracek, he's be a regular 70 point guy also. I think Coots is a slightly better player, but Laughts isn't far behind. Give him the same chances as Coots, and he has similar numbers.

Evidence of the important of late first rounders: look at how Wyatt Johnston is doing right now with the Stars. Went at 21 or 22 or something. Pretty nuts. I think this could be one of the more critical off seasons in recent history. With the Mad Russian coming over in a year or two and how they surround him. Seen teams like Minnesota struggle having consistency with Kiprisov and the team around him. Them signing Parise and Suter to long term contracts and not working out did not help the Wild. With this off season not having any major current free agents but with TK a year away they are talking about extending him long term. Does Tk become a big star player or become another Parise.
