100% agree re Aria. I wouldn't stay there again even if fully comped. Bad location, rooms are small, dark, dirty and dreary and the property is a bit depressing imo.

It reminds me of the championship ring box The Lakers had a few years ago that had Hollywood spotlights on the box. I like the name change to Las Vegas, but I'm also not a Vegas taxpayer. The airport should be Las Vegas instead of that steaming pile they named it after! Most casinos vouchers are 180 days now. Buffalo Bill's even raised theirs after I shamed them. Treasure Island and one other casino has 30 days which is ridiculous! I save the vouchers in my shoulder bag, because I go to Vegas about once a month, so I'll play them next trip. Odd that Primm Valley Golf is 7+ miles inside California. I've suggested Buc-ees should open in Jean/Primm area and someone said Terrible's wouldn't allow it, but they have no control over building on the Nipton, California side near the Lotto Store. That would be my move if Terrible's wanted to play hardball!

Def worth it for Free parking, brand new pool, beautiful rooms and gorgeous property. Most overpriced is M resort IMHO I find your content very informative, interesting and more accurate than most YT channels. 😊

I played triple roulette in Vegas on my past stay and won most times. Triple roulette and 6-5 blackjack should only matter for people gambling for a living not people who go for fun. Trust me, I'm a casino dealer and if it's your day then you'll win. They've had double zero for years and people still loose. When you donate your change to charities it's actually a tax deduction for casinos. Drop your ticket at a slot machine. Players can use the ticket for reseting the machine in the middle of play which changes the play sometimes from bad to good.

In my experience when it comes to overpriced rooms in Vegas, it was actually at a hotel that many consider to be a budget hotel in Excalibur. When I stayed there in January of 2022, they charged me $150 a night ($300 total) before resort fees & this was just their basic room. In my view, the room should have cost half that because it was just above Motel 6 (but not as bad as OYO or Circus Circus) in terms of quality. What makes this worse was that it was not particularly busy in Vegas during my stay & I would think that given the fact that we were just coming out of the pandemic at the time that Excalibur would offer cheap rates to try to get more guests to stay there & recoup their losses. Now when it comes to budget hotels the next time I am in Vegas, the first choice will be the Rio mainly because I have Rio Rewards comp nights I can use & can also get Hyatt Rewards points for staying there.

The golf course is called "Shadow Creek" not "Shadow Ridge." I've golfed Shadow Creek once. I was invited by my MGM casino host and you only can get out there by limo. It is an amazing course!

I always leave the change in the machines instead of donating to the casino where they get a tax break for their donation. Alternately, I leave it on top of the ticket redemption machine to make the next persons redemption to the next dollar.

When you pay the ransoms for Cyber attack you put a target on your back for future attacks. Also FBI now advises casinos not to pay so that’s why MGM didn’t pay though the allegedly almost did.

Stayed two nights at Durango comped. Beautiful room, much larger and nicer than Fountainbleu where I stayed in December. Casino is nice except for crowded slots which you've noted in the past and better odds than strip--3:2 blackjack and 10x odds craps with $10-15 minimums. Great quality food choices to and only 15 minutes from strip.

The Raiders had a rep in Oakland for a long time for being behind the times as Al Davis got older, so it’s funny that his son would carry on that tradition, albeit in a cool little box. Most season tix these days are sent via email or linked in an app.

Durango is nice and I mean nice. Plenty of other high priced hotels. You pay $200 ish for Marriott or Hilton. Easy also to get in and out of the facility too.

The Michael Jackson slots were one of my favorite. Hopefully, the Whitney Houston slots will be just as much fun.

They took off the donation options at the machines at mgm properties, at least all the ones I used in June. I used to just donate the change, shame on mgm for removing the donation option.

talking about cheap sheets at the Virgin--- i just got home from Harrahs and my bed only had 1 sheet and it was on TOP of the bedspread-- in other words there was no sheet between me and the bedspread used by previous guests--- housekeeping told me---that only the upper floors get 2 sheets!!!

It is all in the Las Vegas Valley Landform, so we all live in "Las Vegas". I technically live in enterprise, Clark county but we write it as Las vegas on our mail.
