Ten minutes of serenity this morning. Thank you. What is the tool you used to paint the white dots in the center of the flower? If it's a stylus or some other special tool, I need it because my dot making skills are abominal!

You're welcome! And thanks for watching. That was actually a Grabie Miniature Detail Brush. I have the set linked in the video description. I have also used a dot tool (for nail art) before when I wanted more controlled circles. They work great.

opera pink is useful for mixing, for eg. muting down sap green slightly ( instead of using red to mute). I learnt this from my lessons from artist Yuliya P. ( Then indigo is the staple for darkening up greens etc)

Hello, Angie! You are very welcome. We just set a moving date! Movers will be here in about 2 weeks. I'm frantically packing all those last minute things. LOL. An Alaska story is already in the planning. As soon as I can unpack my paints and get my studio at least sort of unpacked, I will sit down for a much needed leisurely painting and AK story. I may even tell my favorite story. I've been saving it for a special occasion and everyone has been so kind and patient throughout our long move that I think we all deserve a really good one. As for the grandbaby, yes, I've spent the last 4 months getting to help with him almost every day (well, every day I'm not at the old house packing). It has been such a joy. He is growing so fast!! Moving has been difficult, but it's so worth it to be close to them. Thank you for asking. ❤

"I don't like anything but pro color, but I'm going to review a beginner student brand that costs less than 50¢ a pan, not compare it to any other student grade sets, forget to mention that 12 of the colors are novelty colors, and then decide to give it a negative review in comparison to artist grade paint that costs 10 times as much." Brilliant. So helpful🙄
@bealaartАй бұрын
I appreciate your feedback. However, what you have cited as a quote are not my words. This was a positive review, even though I am not a student grade fan. As I stated in my conclusion, this is a good kit for anyone just wanting to paint and have fun with watercolors, but may not be right for those wanting to elevate their results & their techniques.

♥️this!!! I’ve heard of this company & would like to give them a try, but I bet the shipping costs a lot because they’re from the UK? Thanks for sharing!!!
@bealaartАй бұрын
The shipping cost was not as bad as I expected, especially considering how reasonable the price of the brushes are. The extended point brush ended up costing me a total of about $31US total. It's such a nice brush and a bit of a specialty brush, so I felt like that was a good value for the $. I'm going to do another video soon on a few more of their brushes and go into more detail about the company so be sure to watch out for that.

I love Rosemary and Co too. That extended tip brush is amazing. My newest favorites from them is their Red Dot Rounds and Red Dot Pointed Rounds. The Red Dot line is supposed to be a revolutionary synthetic fiber that mimics sable (?). I haven’t put mine down since they came in. Really nice. Rosemary & Co gives great service and has great brushes. Some people think their shipping is high to America but it is not.
@bealaart2 ай бұрын
Ooooh, those sound nice!! I'll have to try the Red Dots! Thanks for sharing that. Amazon Prime has me spoiled with no shipping, but when the quality is as good as this brush, I don't mind paying reasonable shipping, especially for it to come straight from the manufacturer.

@@bealaart Same here, it’s hard to beat Amazon. but I’ve ordered enough from Rosemary & Co and Jacksons, both in England, to be a believer. I always find their brushes top quality and great prices, and the shipping very reasonable. Jacksons has great prices too. Artist Margot Hallac did a great review of the Red Dot.Brushes on KZfaq.
