That looks like a 30 amp box. Are you using a 30 amp box with 10 wire and 30 amp fuses in your electrical panel? And that handles that size generator without any dangerous problems in your electrical box or wiring?

Good video. I replaced both parts. Temperature went from the mid 70's in both compartments to 51 on top and 62 on bottom. Neither temperature has gotten any cooler after 24 hours. The fan has already been replaced and is working. The compressor is running but does feel hot. Not sure what other part could be not working.

I have a similar problem. My compressor does not run although everything else seems to be fine. I have measured the voltage supplied to the compressor (red and blue wires) and measured essentially zero voltage. since where I measured is electrically "ahead" of the two parts you replaced, it seems my problem is not with these two parts. If the wine fridge senses a problem and does not power up the compressor, and would send power if the two parts are replaced, then replacing the parts would fix my problem. But this seems unlikely. Could you tell me if you measured the voltage across the two wires that carry power to the compressor/relay/overload assembly? Thanks Tom

So many positive feedbacks on this video. I also found the explanations kinda easy to understand. Wondering if we can apply it to a GE profile wine cooler which stopped cooling after a massive power outage. Or is it not advisable since the video is meant for Magic Chef. A novice here, so quite frankly, am anxious

I've had the exact same generator that you have for about 4 yrs now. Haven't had any trouble with it till lately. Pulled it out to start it and run it just to make sure it was still in good running order and it will not start. I only run it on propane and can't understand why it won't start. Last tried it a few weeks ago during some warm weather we had. Nearly got it going after both push button and pull cord attempts. It sputtered a few times, but that was it. Couldn't get anything more out of it and I was running the battery down using the push button start. Watching your video, I suddenly remembered I got that same battery charger and now have to find it to charge that battery up. Hope I didn't accidentally throw it away thinking it was from something else I don't have anymore. Same with the key fob. Has to be around here somewhere. Waiting for warmer weather to come to try it again, but I better hunt for the charger. Not to worried though, I also have 3 Eco Flow solar gens that work great. Still nice to have the Westinghouse though.

Two concerns I want to share with you. It is plain that you used Non Metallic Sheathed cable, commonly called by it's first manufacturers brand name for it which is Romex, to make that connection cable. The possible consequence of using that cable is that the wires themselves are solid. Unlike the fine stranded wire in a cord it is more likely to fatigue and break do to the vibration of the generator. You need to size the wire in that cord for the ampacity of the generator's main breaker. If for any reason more current than the generator can produce for a long time was flowing through that breaker it would open on the overload and prevent the generator or it's ampacity matched cord from being damaged. Yes that the gauge of cord which matches the generator's ampacity Is likely to be expensive when compared with Romex but there is a way around that. Install the inlet box on a post made by burying the end of a pressure treated 4X4 in the ground. You will need to dig a trench for Underground Feeder (UF) cable or Underground Service Entry (USE) cable which are suitable for direct burial. Cable must be buried 2 foot deep to it's upper side. Use whichever one is the least expensive there. You can also use PVC Non Metallic Conduit (NMC) and pull THHN-THWN individual wires into it. That only needs to be 18 inches deep to the top of the conduit so it's a little less digging. Mount the inlet high enough above the ground so it is easy to plug into. 4 feet up will make it much easier to see the inlet plug to insert the cord connector over it. You may want to place a yellow mark on the cord connector, that is what the receptacle end of a cord is called, and a yellow mark on the inlet connector so that it is easier to insert the connector into the male inlet when setting up. You may also want to put a green mark were the yellow mark is on the cord connector when it has been plugged in and turned to lock it in the inlet. Yellow mark to yellow mark to insert and yellow mark to green mark when it is locked in position to prevent pull out. The colors are not important use any colors that suit you. Those were just examples. Why am I saying you should put the inlet 30 feet away from the house? Because 25 feet is the absolute minimum separation from the home that any generator should be operated to be sure that Carbon Monoxide will not infiltrate into the house and kill you and your family. If the generator is at least 25 feet from the house you don't have to worry about CO infiltration. Even with 25 feet of separation make sure that you have working CO detectors that also detect propane gas getting inside your house. If enough propane accumulates it will reach an explosive concentration by mixing with the air in the house to propane's lower explosive limit. Propane is heavier than air. When it leaks it flows across the ground like invisible gasoline. It will accumulate in the lowest space it encounters. Basements that have not been externally waterproofed are vulnerable to propane infiltration. External water proofing as a building code requirement is a relatively recent requirement. Tom Horne

We pretty much run the entire house with it, with the exception of the central air and pool. Those are the only 2 things we make sure are off. Other than that it is just like having power. So runs fridge, 2 freezers, lights, tvs, furnace, and video games. Oh and keeps the internet on for work.

@@messier97 Yeah bro, sorry to tell you, you have to physically remove them from your hand after the foam harden. They will be like hard flakes after you start peeling them. Check this out, i used the following: 1. Baby oil. 2. KY Gel. 3. Deisel. 4.Kerosen. 5. Benzene and all type gasoline grades. 6. Acetone. 7. Ethanol. 8. Some fort of acid, forgot name , from pharmacy. 9. Dish detergent. Nothing worked! I had to buy the curved scissor and do it manually. Ignore the pain, you will get few cuts. After that, my hands still had them in flakes , like glued to my hands. I used olive oil and it did make minor change to the foam adherence, just minor. After that, it dried and I started to pick them in my hands until they completely went away. Some of the areas, I did not know how it became clean, seems to drop after removing most of it. Conclusion: 1. wear gloves, long type when using this stuff next time. 2. Buy curved scissors, not sharp ends and manually remove them. 3. Olive oil is the best from all the products I listed. Off course, I am talking about the brans I used Patex, I am not sure about other products, but I would assume will be same experience. That stuff is criminal I swear, never seen such substance in my life.

@YK-BCS-KY I actually have a system going now. I soaked my hands in warm soapy water and got a soft sanding sponge and tore through the top layer. Pretty much scuffed as much of it up as I could and that got a good chunk off. Then I used this rose salve my wife has for when her hands are really dry, kind of reminds me of petroleum jelly or vasoline, but I don't think that's what it is. After applying that salve makes your hands soft and oily, and the foam isn't able to cling to them as well. I could probably get rid of it with another round of that tomorrow, but I might just leave it to flake off on its own cause I think my wife will murder me if I use any more of her fancy salve.
