Lindros was a beast. Unfortunately his attitude at the draft (which I don’t disagree with), put a target on his back, his whole career. Stevens was a monster, back when monsters played in the NHL. Personally I’ll take Stevens and his three cups on my team any day.

Stevens should have been suspended permanently after the Kariya and Lindros hits. These hits hurt the game. Lindros and Kariya were great players and their careers were cut short.

Stevens got his ass handed to him in every foght and scuffle. Had to throw a dirty shot to try and get a single jab in. Deliberately ending a career because someone else is better and tougher is the lowest form of cowardice. He'll forever be remembered as a bitter coward. Should move to Winnipeg. He'll fit in perfect with Brenden Dillon.

Scott Stevens: The biggest coward the game has ever seen. He would wait for opportunities where players were caught off guard, and hit them. That's why whenever he confronted Lindros 1 on 1, he got his face punched in.

I remember seeing Stevens on a bigger European ice in some competition. And realized how utterly worthless he was. Could not close the gaps - not fast enough. But he's got Eric's scalp at the end!

They cried when he got drafted by Quebec until the idiots in charge said he didn't have to play there.If I had anything to do with it, he wouldn't be playing at all unless he played for the team that drafted him!!! Also, to those people who think Stevens was a dirty player....Gordie Howe ( MR. Hockey ) was the DIRTIEST player that ever played the game!!

He was the best forward on the team. Johnson, Pavelich and Broten were a damn good center core. The 4th center Mark Wells was a late add when Cox didn't adequately heal from a leg injury resulting in being cut. If Cox was healthy Strobel probably would have taken Wells spot and Cox Strobel's.

Scott, I did some research and came up with the fact the USSR\Czechoslovakia combined had only 4 players born between 1955-57. If you put a Team USA together from the NHL\WHA\US Olympic Team you would have had approximately 16 players born 1955-57 G Baker (57) - Craig (57) D - Larson (56) Langway (57) O'Connell (55) Morrow (56) F - Howe (55) Holmgren (55) Rowe (56) Fidler (56) Jensen (55) Miller (56) Debol (56) Johnson (57) Mullen (57) Christoff (57) I think those years the US produced more talent than USSR\Czechoslovakia\ Sweden though its close with Sweden and USSR. Significant gap with Czechoslovakia in USA favor.

Nothing I love more then watching Lindros trashing Stevens. The only times Stevens ever got the better was doing cheap shit cause he's a fraud and just couldn't handle Eric in anyway. He couldn't even handle his jock strap. This wasn't even close to EVERY incident.

I remember watching that hit live. Clean hit. Stevens was one of the toughest players in NHL history. I’d rather skate into a fire hydrant than him.
