My C6 Grand Sport has three lights. I've tried this method at least 6 times. not only does this not work, now neither of my two remote openers that came with the garage door work or the opener in my 2022 Ram.

on a sidenote ... the + terminal of the battery is closer to the fender or closer to the engine? The car in the vid has the -ve terminal close to the engine block... but have seen other vids where the +ve terminal is closer to the engine... which is the factory correct way?

On the 2005 it is + fender side. But it is different for different years and trim level.

I've had other AT vehicles, some 20+ years old, and have never had this issue, but my '16 Tacoma binds up regularly. This is how I "fix it" until next time, but but after a few weeks or months, if I don't use the truck for a couple of days, I have to do it again. There has to be a solution.

My 2019 siezed up in the first winter. Couldn't get it into drive on a road trip. They used cheap materials under a 4wd truck and a poor design that makes it dangerous. Mine randomly pops out of drive and into neutral from time to time. Toyota should be forced to recall these vehicles.

Hi Kevin, I am a new c6 05 owner, and the first day after I parked the car in my yard after 2-3 starting and moving forward and backward , I decided to clean it. AFTER THAT THE CAR WON'T START ANYMORE. DASH NOT LIGHT ON AND NO ACCESSORIE MODE ONLY RED LIGHT ON THE BUTTON ,WHEN I PUSH IT LISEN RELAYS CLICK BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. Key fob ALSO NOT RESPONDING CENTRAL LOCKING NOT WORKING ,put in new batteries on the car and key fob but still not responding

Use a plumbers copper fitting brush instead of the sandpaper on the socket, it will clean easier

say you shift to D drive and when you would shift back into park did it lagg on going Into P and then when you release the break you would feel the truck roll little and then you hear it click into park?
