With the first For a Cause in game two 4 damage was added, instead of 3, but not sure it mattered in the end.

Deck seems fun. One deck change consideration though is to swap "spare the target" for "waylay"

I think spare the target is cool if you play the 1 drop bounty card that gets you 2 non units. But if you aren't playing that waylay bouncing your own stuff can be good. Especially bouncing falcon and replaying it for extra damage

I’ve been testing a similar deck with Lando, I’ve tested enough to know that Lando wasn’t going to cut it but that the core of the deck could be used with set 1 Han. Glad to see I was on the right track but never considered using the Droid package for card draw 😮

Great interview. This deck is over my head. I am having little luck with it. Going to keep practicing, but it definitely seems like a tricky one to play.

It for sure has a high skill level, but don't get discouraged! I just took it for a spin and it absolutely is the real deal, even won some absolute slots against control. Only other deck I have been able to get such high win percentages with post Shadows is Red Rey.

I may not have understood this correctly when you mentioned using DJ so that the opponent could never play their leader or expensive units, but just in case: note that you can never steal multuple resources with DJ. Whenever you play a new DJ your previous one is defeated, and the stolen resource returned.

@@AshesFall81 yes, but Han leader lets you defeat any resource at next action phase. So you can defeat the resource DJ stole resulting in multiple DJ steals. It’s pretty disgusting lol

haha I was in jest here - and I think he was as well. I do think a card like Tech could see a ban with the right conditions. I think some of these effects are a little too broken and will only get worse over time.

I think he just out tempos Sabine with cloud rider, Ezra, cunning, bounce. And Falcon and Gunship clear the space lane if they play Red 3 or A-wing.

Try to force them to use ECL early. For example if you have a unit out at the 4 resource turn, bounce their best unit and +4 your unit with cunning. A lot of times they will ECL in K2 to clear the way for sabine leader. This is good a trade because now Poe and Wrecker are much worse.

Ian is THE MAN. Hundreds of reps. I wanted to point that out, if you want to win you have to get 200+ reps with a deck online and some in paper as well.

It is a little weak to space - but he addresses that in the video. Basically he will draw a gunship or Falcon. But you are right, if he does not get either of those it is tough.

How do you kill a Boba with armor? Pushing a cloud rider, he's 4 hp. He puts the armor : 6hp and can prevent 2. Next turn, you ambush Han unit into him, but Boba prevent 2 damages so your Han is dead and his Boba still alive ...

You target the armor in hand with the hand destruction cards. The best way to play around it is to get it out of hand. Spark, Qi'ra, Cunning, Bodhi etc.

Yeah that was a miscalculation on my part.... maybe he was saying just getting the 3 damage on Boba BEFORE Boba armor helps you trade something else into it so you can one shot it with only 4 HP left with Han unit? It was pretty late there and missed that clarifying point.

Been running this myself. The trouble that I find is Boba ... how does this deck deal with leaders? like a boba with his armour is rough to contend with in mono yellow.

I believe he touched on this in the video - Cloud Rider the Boba so Han Solo can do first strike damage and still kill it.

@@rebelresource yeah I made the comment before finishing the video like a noob. As much as that is a line it's not a great one. I see he run's Fell the Dragon for pesky units, I almost feel like PotDS might be better as it can hit leaders and then you just have to control the "other" units. Still love seeing the iterations of this deck. As soon as I saw DJ and Tech I knew this was the avenue for me for this "season". Thanks for doing the interview.

@@ignithas3150 cloud rider just helps nickel and dime damage so you can eventually kill it with han unit. Mostly want to discard it from spark or bohdi to avoid it getting played.

@ignithas3150 attack with cloud rider BEFORE the armor drops and Han finishes after the armor drops. Best way to deal with it is not let them play it. There are 11 cards in the deck that make your opponent discard.

Great vid! Lots of good insights. Had played around with Cunning Han a bit, but ended up dropping it. In hindsight I was leaning too heavily into A New Adventure as a gimmick. Will have to give this list a shot though!

I honestly cannot believe just how much people have been trying to jam Poe in every aggro deck. In a world where Cunning is just about the single most played card (not to mention all the other cards you mentioned) it is just so stupid to run a 5 drop that doesn't do anything in an aggro deck. Green Sabine gets the pass because of ECL, but just about every other deck needs a really good reason to be playing Poe, or any 5 drop for that matter. Good luck to you!
