Can you let me know which company you got your solar equipment from and if you can share their contact information? Do you also know if they are in the Davao area? Very familiar with the area. Back in 2018, my wife and I stayed at the (J & P Resort Dauin) a big mistake, but a different story. The beach in front of the resort was very rocky and unswimable and the same conditions existed for as far as the eye could see in both directions up and down the shore line.

2-2.5 million php is simply way over priced just because it is next to a concrete road and has electricity. Sorry. In some other parts of the Philippines it would cost 600 php to 1500 php for the land. Price gouging in the Dumsguete/Dauin/Bacong/Valencia areas is alive and kicking but it is a personal choice to pay more than it is worth.

I know that spot. It gets very mucky and wet because it is very flat and low....poor drainage. Prices have risen dramatically in the region of Dumaguete due to the high influx of foreigners. There are cheaper options not too far away. 7.5M per lot is getting up there for sure. Look farther south in Siatton. Sparkling crystal white sand and no rocks...very swimmable.

They will need flush toilets hot water paint and ac added. A 24 - 7 AC use / elect bill will run about another $80. - - - These expats near him in that area live a comfortable life for about $800 -- $900 in recurring expenses - alone - don't drink or smoke and own their motorbikes. An average SS check is $1800 - leaving a nice bit of savings - every month ! + Travel when they feel like it wherever they wish to go - all over S E Asia. --?--

I am with you Tim on every step of your step up. Solar, batteries, water, starting with the tiny home. Perfect set up. I have worked in wastewater treatment so I would be tempted to treat the water so I could drink it but maybe just not cost effective. I might be looking at being the copy cat from Australia :)
