I was just starting my guitar journey at 13 when i saw this video, i remember using it as a refference to learn A Touch Of Evil, because i wanted to play exactly where and how he played it, spoiler i didn't at the time

I rather listen to glen anytime over satriana or via but hendrix page Clapton beck are the best and Eddie is somewhere back there with others like George lynch one of my favs

I didnt know Glenn used Crate amps. I had one in the late '80s. A 2X12 combo. They sounded decent for solid state amps. I would play out with it though unless I had too.

Not that it’s a competition but I’ve been working on tabs from so many different guitars throughout the years and Glenn is right up there in my opinion with Erik Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, and I hate saying Nuno Bettencourt because I can’t stand how arrogant he is… Glenn solos are so memorable and melodic, and difficult to play …a lot harder than any Eddie Van Halen + Randi Rhodes. In a breath of fresh air, with how humble and down to earth, he is. Currently working on the Freewheel Burning solo doing it note for note certainly take some serious practice and memory work
