We had a tribute band for about a year, and I dare say we were pretty good! Alas our organisational skills didn’t match the musical skills so we never actually got around to gigging ☹️ Maybe one day it will rise like a phoenix…

Great job. Where did you find Mike Mill's lyrics? I am having a hard time deciphering/locating his lyrics.

An educated guess - search on KZfaq for the BaldAndroid version that (sort of) isolates the backing vocals, or the 1985 RockPalast live version where you can hear Mike fairly well. As with a lot of the early stuff, the specific lyrics are perhaps less important that the sonic qualities so they often changed, and I'm proud to continue that tradition! For the record, my interpretation is: (Laocoön is host) (Library hollowed) (Friendly harbor ghost) (She wanted me to tell her schemes) (Tell her to tell her schemes) (You have done no wrong) (Literally think I just make a bunch of vague noises here :D ) (She wanted me to read her signs) Last verse same as the first

Oh wow this is a big upgrade over the other one (which was quite good) One thing that distracts here is that you seem really happy, which is great but perhaps at odds with the vibe of the song.

This is great work. Thanks for sharing. There’s almost nothing on YT on this epic and amazing song. Are u using standard tuning? If u could share a tab of that main d-ish chord that would be great. Can’t seem to figure it out.

Yeah, this is just standard tuning. Stretch the pinky to play a D with the A on the 1st string xx0235, with the ring finger also on the 3rd fret so you can occasionally lift off and play xx0233 , or lift the index finger and play xx0033 etc.
