Tbh, as an Italian, I love the English dub more than the Italian one (comments on the inaccurate accent be damned, it's part of the charm of this game) I don't really like the performance of the Italian doppiatore(VA) they chose to play as Ezio in AC2 and Brotherhood: Renato Novara's voice is too high-pitched in comparison to Roger Craig Smith (I do like his doppiatore in Revelations though, Diego Baldoin as older Ezio is wonderful). I mean, Renato was great for 18 y/o Ezio, but when you get to the latter half of AC2 it just doesn't cut it for me. The real treat of the Italian Dub for me have always been Altaïr's doppiatore in AC1 and the first few memories of Revelations (Paolo De Santis) and Desmond's (Alessandro Rigotti). I swear Paolo sounds exactly like Philip Shabaz if he spoke perfect Italian: same edge, same amazing acting skills, it's a feast for the ears.

I clicked for two versions, one the French one because I'm French "and besides it's more the Canadian French version, you should know that most of the French voices in Assassin's Creed are from Quebec" and the Italian version see what Ezio gives with a real Italian actor and I really liked it. Well in truth the French version is the best, much more charismatic.

Je trouve marrant qu'on entend toujours le fond d'accent québécois dans les AC, malgré l'effort pour sonner comme du français de France, il y a toujours des façons de prononcer les voyelles qui ne trompent pas, c'est d'ailleurs particulièrement flagrant dans Unity !

Looking back I think they should have made Dunn a Lieutenant and have it contrast between Dunn's panicky nature under stress while leading the platoon vs Sergeant Foley's stoic courage to take charge.

i can tell its him a little bit but it is 1998 vs 2009. so yeah around 11 years older. remastered one came out in 2020. unless they redid some of the VA.

it's the buttons of crouch, and counter as in when an enemy is about to strike u with blue arrows but you counter. So basically both the crouch and counter buttons when an enemy is down in this case

There are different animations playing depending on the distance so if you do the buttons but closer or a bit farther then a different animation will play, based on if the enemy is on his back or belly. One is a grab the neck or throat and so on. Basically where batman is at a distance, could be close, mid or long range and a different result. Play around with it and let me know! It's always the same buttons

FINALLY beat the “Shock and Awe (extreme)” challenge after learning to use takedowns on the guys with knives and stun batons. It took me hours (days)! I was 🤬 at this challenge!

Playing the game as an Italian speaker in the original dub is a really funny but fascinating experience. There are times when you chuckle because of the accent mistakes and times when you're amazed by how good it can be (especially if you compare it to most of the Italian used in foreign movies)
