Head knowledge is a start, but according to the Bible in Romans 10:9,10,13.. we must believe in our heart and receive him by calling on him to save us. What good is a gift unless you reach out and take it? You may be able to see that it's there, but unless you receive it.. it's not yours. You have to acknowledge that you need it and take it. If you have been saved, you will be able to point to an instance in your life where you have asked Jesus Christ to forgive you, and save you, and you have been born again. A time where the Holy Spirit has put you under conviction that you are a lost sinner and needed a Saviour. And at that time put your full trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Although he was obviously in error, I must admit that he was genuinely likeable. Unlike many other "claimants" to the throne of Peter, many of whom spew venom, are embroiled in scandals etc... Bawden had this gentle side to him. I pray that God saw his human defects and took them into account when judging him and from the good that Bawden harbored in his heart, God was able to admit him to His eternal kingdom.
