Please correct me but if you use zonal marking near the goal, it is easy for the opponent to find someone unmarked and ready to score. Many times I see defenders looking too much at the ball and not looking at what attackers are doing.

2008-2012 Barcelona, 2013, 2016 & 2020 Bayern Munich, and 2022-2024 Man. City are the best football I have seen in the 2010's and 2020s technically, tactically, Off & Def., and just craft of playing. BUT peak Liverpool 2017-2022 has been the absolute most exhilarating football I have ever seen. It was unbelievable how they attacked, gegenpressed, defended, ran, scored, etc. It was like Metallica 1986 x Fast & Furious in football.
