Thanks Dug! I should have posted some video of the water on my pre-fish day, because this area was "clear" compared to that. So much slime on the water it was clogging up the guides and turning my line green 😧

I just bought myself a Topwater PDL 120 and your video gave me some great ideas. I take a lot of gear myself so it’s good to see how other people that are like me are organizing their kayak 😂 I especially like what you did with your measuring board.

Glad to help. I have actually updated the way I store the measuring board. It's still in the same spot but I am using a product from YakGadget now, and I really like it. It's an always evolving system with the kayak organization 😂

@@DoubleBogeyBass thanks brotha unfortunately my tournament day GoPro wouldn’t read my sd card while waiting to launch in the parking lot that morning. So it will be just a quick recap few minutes from that weeks practice but it’s honestly identical to tourney day. Definitely definitely bummed about it messing up ended up buying another GoPro for backup and and another sd card

@@channel2drew983 totally understand the issues with GoPro. I have a love/hate relationship with them. That’s why I run 2 cameras, so at least one should capture something, but even then I’ve had issues 🤣😂.

Thank you for sharing your tournament day sorry you didn’t get the outcome that you wanted, but I admired your attitude of not giving up fighting till the last second! The only con with old town is the weight. I’ve had a few different brands and most of the really good ones the weight is always a problem. Out of all the brands old town makes the best yak. Hobie was my 1rst yak and it did it’s job, but when it got really hot the kayak would start to flex and was always a hassle getting them to replace parts that broke.

I had to go through the whole thing also. Plenty of fish just nothing to get excited about. It's fun catching em. But man is it hard when you need the bigger ones. Great quality Footage. Your intro was super clear on the voice. Assuming your using a mic Sounds Great bud. Looking forward to the next one.

Yup! Frittside 7! The Frittside is one of my favorites! On tournament day I changed to a different crankbait and went with the Berkley dredger that runs about 10 foot.

I’ve been watching a lot of your delta videos. I plan on going to the delta for my first kayak adventure in a couple days. Would you recommend any launch spots if coming from the Sacramento area?

I would say that Wimpy's or Walnut Grove are good options for your first launch. They are fairly easy launches and they are close to Sacramento. There is also the Deep Water channel in West Sac.

Not trying to be disrespectful but you should only be netting giant bass. There is absolutely no reason to be netting those little dinks it’s a waste of time. Drag em to the boat and take the hook out simple as that. Good video otherwise 👍

Thank you for this idea! I just did it myself and got a couple notes: Autozone also carries this drain pan so that can be an option if you can’t find it at Home Depot. Also, a dremel will cut through this like butter at 15k RPM, just make sure you move quickly because it will melt the plastic. You can also use the dremel to sand down sharp edges quickly.

I really liked this video and found it helpful for ideas for setting up my pdl 106. I took it to camp far west lake recently and I am a big fan of the pedal drive, but can see how a motor would be nice for long stretches.

Thank you Joshua! It is a great kayak, I have the 106 as well as the 120, and they are both awesome.. And you're right, being able to cover more water with a motor is the drawing power to get one 😂. I am sure I will upgrade at some point.

Yes, not as much lately though, and I haven't filmed a full round in awhile. I have put out a few shorts here and there, but I do need to get back to some full length videos. It's just a lot more work and I have been a bit lazy with it. I understand if you don't stick around for the fishing, if that's not of interest to you.

Do you travel with rods on the kayak? Reason I ask is 7' one piece rods don't travel well in the cab of m truck.

I do not travel with them in the kayak. I put them on the passenger side of my truck. Did that with my car too and it worked. I have several over 7 foot.

I used the wilderness system HD, although I rarely use it anymore because I trailer my kayak most of the time now. It’s a good cart though.
