This is the kind of songs kids need to be learning. Not the pop BS that has no meaning whatsoever. Or drag queen crap.

In their early years, they were pretty serious during their concerts --- well except when Paul would do his stand up comedy. These later years they seemed so much more relaxed and fun loving, smiling and moving to the music. Lovely. 😊

Thank you, and here is my prayer W mourn in the morn, Alongside the forlorn, Who know either love nor joy , We plead for your love Come from above To hearten each girl and boy. We pray day and night That the beams of your light May penetrate gloom and pain And renew a delight In the knowledge that You, God Still reign. ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️

It must be extremely difficult for Palestinian parents to sing this song to their children.

WOW!! Everyone should listen to the hopefulness in this song. It brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. Not to mention the memories that wash over me when I look at the kids in the audience. God I loved being part of the boomer generation.

In the folk world people still do, but I have to say this really does look a bit cultish. 😬🤣

I woke up here in the Philippines and my son is sleeping here. This song popped into my mind and I sang it to him. April of 1969 I'm thinking.

Ive heard Jim 1000 times, I dont think I ever heard a cover of it. Even at karaoke. Mary was a great one to hear first cover this.

This song was a favorite of my Nana’s, who raised me, she passed away this October. This was the last song she sung with us in the hospital, and I like to think she saw us as her garden. It will move me for the rest of my life.

Every year we should tell Peter Yarrow and the group how much we love him and what he stood for (and light a candle, even if not Jewish).
