So I want to touch on the Chinese manufacturing. I’m a cnc machinist for a very well known company. We do oem for CZ, LWRC and a ton of other well known companies. Yes, we’re much more expensive than China made. But I take massive pride in the lower receivers I put out for LW. I also take pride in the aftermarket billet trans mounts for hellcats that were produced. But I still appreciate companies like Reate, Kunwu, etc. as they make great products at a fair price. But if I have the ability, I buy from American companies like Oz machine co, Holt, Koenig and such. Finances don’t always allow that though

How do you adjust the pivot when it has a fastener with a square hole? If I can’t adjust the pivot or disassemble the knife, I won’t buy it.

Good info. I watch a guy on KZfaq who loves the back cut.

On the point about using a dedicated knife for everyday tasks, out my way, there was a paddler entangled in rope some years back. He was submerged near the shore. Everyone trying to rescue him with their river knives couldn’t cut the rope because they’d been used for non-emergency tasks. The guy didn’t make it.

The Gladius was developed by the Romans to work with their shields and formation to deliver piercing/thrusting attacks during close quarter combat, while the Talibong was developed for slashing/cutting attacks during skirmishes/guerrilla warfare, similar to the samurai swords.
