That elder valve is some dirty sh!t - Sometimes you just can't pay your sewer bill. You should be able to take a crap at home without having to go to a gas station. Oh well, pay your bills people. That's one bill you don't want to compromise with :P

Excellent video. My only question is how high should the studor vent be in relation to the drain?

it just says above the drain

Great video, but what does 'go back ten feet' in the attic mean?. Ten feet from what? Back from what? Toward what? I understood how you don’t want it terminating too close to the peak or the eaves, but that 'back ten feet' has me stumped.

How do you create the pressure balance specifically? I have 6-jets in my system, which are set up two at the bench seat, and the other 4 on the opposite end of the shower; there about 7ft apart with the thermostatic shower valve centered between them.

I love plumbing videos being in the trade for over 20 years I always feel I can learn. I dont think I'd ever recommend a studor vent in a video. They are illegal here in kentucky all the way around no exceptions. That thing will fail at some point and people don't stay on top of these. They should prob require replacement every 5 years or so to be safe. Otherwise keep up the good work. Love trade videos.

It's the gas valve. those don't normally go bad. probably got some corrosion on the connection, unplug it and plug it back up..

Hello Sir, I would like to ask you a question about the metal vent pipe for the water heater: why does water drip on it? I appreciate
@PlumbingSolutionsLLCАй бұрын
well, it shouldn't. The air moving through it should be hot enough to cook off any condensate especially in the summertime. You could be missing the end cap.

You mean like a sideways S or ~ . Old houses had S traps , we are not allowed to use them anymore. But old hardware stores still have them.

It's the length of pipe before you glue it in. so bottom of the box to the hub on the P trap

Any trick to bending the pex in those black 90° bend brackets. I'm using 1-in pipe and I find it real difficult to make the beds. Can we warm or heat the pipe to aid in the bent in those plastic 90 supports
@PlumbingSolutionsLLCАй бұрын
There is a heating blanket for Pex that you can use. The larger pipes are hard to get in the brackets we use the 90° fittings instead.
@lembergnative7731Ай бұрын
oh my goodness, all the terminology for the different doodads was so helpful - thank you!
@homecraftsolutions3506Ай бұрын
Nice job. Looks organized and neat. I will say one thing that I have had troubles with are the brackets that bend the pex to a 90 degree. In hot and arid climates like I am in with the Phoenix area, over time the bends tend to crack on the outside bend. Thanks for taking the time to put this mockup together and the explanation of the different types of systems.
