Gimme back my Bullitts was recorded after Ed King quit the band, the only album by Skynyrd with just two guitarists,Gary told in an interview, that after King quit,he and Allen had to figure out how to play the songs live all over again.

So Ronnie was in favor of gun control. But got several people killed by coercing them to get on a plane nobody wanted to get on. Maybe lead man control would have been more appropriate. I'm out

They were in concert a month ago near me but without any of the original members it is not the Lynyrd Skynyrd band as far as I am concerned, the real band sound died with that plane crash😢

I truly believe RVZ did indeed know when he would pass. Its all there in the lyrics , in this interview, and things he told his family and friends.

of all the bands of the 70s SKYNYRD has more live videos and live recordings than any band on KZfaq that tells you they were the best band at the time

Now having lost Jim Ladd both this and part 1 are absolutely legendary. Jim ladd is the only member of the press that Ronnie trusted. And im a former college coach that hates the press and Ronnie disliked them more than i do. I completely understand why. But we have to give Mr Ladd his flowers on these interviews cause of how much he allowed us to get to know Ronnie through these interviews

There was no fuel to dump. They ran out. By running out of gas the plane did not burst into flames which saved more lives.

People that think Lynyrd Skynyrd are just about gimme three steps in Sweet home. Alabama and Freebird are sorely mistaken, especially that last album a Steve games there’s no telling the Heights they could’ve reached had they not crashed.

My uncle modeled his singing and guitar playing to the skynyrd sound. Early to late 70ies country rock. Lynyrd Skynyrd was the absolute best of their generation by far.

I remember being in 3rd grade in 77 when I heard what’s your name for the first time. Me and my buddy would always start singing that song whenever we’d walk home from school together. Great times. Of course I didn’t really understand the significance of losing RVZ at the time being so young.

Ronnie was one of a kind. There was never anyone else like him. When God made him he broke the mold and there will never be another one that's like him. He had what it took be a damn good song writer and a damn good singer for sure. Johnny can sing Ronnie's songs but he'll never be him for sure. But I'm okay with that. All Lynyrd Skynyrd is now is a tribute band that's all they are. Gary Rossington said it himself that all he wants to do is carry on the music that him and his brothers and sisters in Lynyrd Skynyrd created. Their all gone but never forgotten. Long Live Lynyrd Skynyrd.
