Oh man i even have the disc of Scrapland, definitely one of my fav games from childhood

Discworld Noir isn't so obscure that it had become abandonware, it's more like the rights to it are so "obscure" that it's not really known, who owns the rights to it.

Shrek 2 baby. Love that game :)
@ZhuoAo6 сағат бұрын
There is probably no one who could subjectively point out, at best, half of this collection as known, to the point that you can feel safe taking away the double quotes from "obscure" in the title.

My feeling is they this was the wrong Warcraft story to tell. Wrath of the Lich King would be the one I would like to see.

Just found this channel, and it's everything I love about KZfaq. Intelligent, sometimes funny, content that doesn't focus on attracting the lowest common denominator, like so much of KZfaq. And this list is the kinda thing I adore, so for that, I thank you a lot! You definitely have a new sub.

I swear In Skyrim my Nord would always get jumpscared by Ma’iq, I swear I saw him 50 times on that guy! Killing a dragon, he’s there, leaving a dungeon, he’s outside, wandering about a city, he’s there! 😂

Damn. I don't mean to be too like dramatic or whatever but I've been dealing with a lot of OCD related problems recently and some of the ideas and wording you use in this video hits real hard. With those problems almost being my own shadow.

Not dramatic at all man. Remember to love all of yourself, especially the parts that at times can feel unlovable. No idea what you are going through but you can do it <3

Those turrets are op af. They solo Horrigan without you ever needing to step in and fight at all. Furthermore, if you decide to fight both Frank and the turrets, the turrets are actually far deadlier than Frank. There is a lot of them, they are more accurate at range than the boss, and their bursts dish out catastrophic amounts of damage for some reason. They were probably coded to shredd everything so they can kill the end boss if the player reprograms them.

You can kill him in one turn with the right build and Vindicator minigun. Takes a bit of luck with rng but I did it after several reloads. You need: 10 agility, 10 luck, fast shot trait and action boy(x2), bonus rate of fire and sniper perks. Bonus ranged damage also helps but it's optional. That way you can fire 3 bursts in one turn (3*4=12). With the sniper perk and 10 luck every bullet is a crit. Vindicator fires 25 rounds of 4mm caseless, an ammo type with very good modifiers. A single burst can do well over 500 damage to Horrigan if you luck out and most/all of the bullets hit him (max hit chance is 95%).

I can see Sarevok going back to his roots. After decades of rootless wandering and trying everything from being a hero to a ruthless warlord, he grew bored. There was no true place for him in the world. So in time, he returned to only family that he knew to find a sense of purpose.

if you ask someone who likes portal what the scariest ai is they will probably say GLaDOS but that's wrong the worst thing GLaDOS has ever done is release neurotoxin into the facility killing like 2000 people, but the real answer is the absolute solver program from murder drones in that show the absolute solver program took control of an "innocent" drone to massacre a gala then reprogramed and refurbished three drones to commit genocide on all humans inhabiting earth before then brainwashing them and then the absolute solver impersonated the parent company of all drones to get them to wipe out worker drones to get more solver hosts to destroy all sentience in the universe (edit: the drone the solver used to kill the gala is cyn the solver is just the aboslute solver program)

Recommendations (from a game makers perspective): - Seeds Of Resilience: A gameplay tech demo, essentially, about a completely new merge between strategy, tactics, survival and settlement building. Every thing in the tiny level grows an amount per day, you can plan accordingly and can hunt things (to extinction if not careful). It's short, but very interesting. - Steamworld Heist: The best example why small numbers in a game are incredible. You can, in your head, easily put together a plan for every round in this turn based reflection simulator (all bullets ricochet perfectly several times and every battle turns into a bit of a puzzle). Incredible combat, very fun bonus challenge, where you do not shoot the bosses but barely miss them and shoot their hats, which you then get to keep. - Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes: a gaboy DS game, now on Steam. Very fun strategy puzzler where you build armies on the fly by slotting them into rows. You need to beat the opposing row, can summon special mythical creatures, there's lots of bonus puzzle stages. Very good game. - Jydge: one of the best twinstick games in the last decade. Every level can be replayed with vastly different objectives, the theme and artstyle are phenomenal, gameplay is super fun. - Crazy Machines: any one of the old ones. They are incredible. Play them if the screenshots intrigue you! ;)

One thing Morrowind did really well was give a reason to be into the Nine Divines cause the Imperial Cult is one of the big factions. Teleportation, spells, unique quest items and stuff, whereas in Oblivion there’s DLC (wouldn’t call Knights of the Nine a full blown expansion) for them, and in Skyrim there’s just necklaces and shrines you can make at home (in a dlc) and maybe a mention in a quest or two with Talos getting pretty much all of the attention cause of the civil war. I hope ES6 gives me a reason to make a Jauffre-esque priest or monk character.

To be completely honest, we need a BG1 short series and Vin Diesel should really be the man who plays him. Let Joe Rogan be Minsc. ha!

A good idea if you're pressed for time is to do the game with the LONEWOLF buff. You can have TWO of them in a party at any one time. Thus you can effectively play TWO origin characters storylines without it being overwhelming. I'm near the end now, and I'm looking forward to playing through again with a different two. FYI, I'm running with sebille and Iffan. By all accounts I've got better to look forward to. Will, I go two lonewolf again? You bet. But I will make sure i multiclass this time.

It was definitely a hurdle when Fallout 4 first dropped, that was the main thing my friend and I weren’t happy with, that and the limited dialogue options (4 at a time? Like Pokémon? A gameboy game?). There can be verbose silent protagonists too like in Disco Elysium where you have to do a side quest to even hear his voice.

An "obscure" game I recommend would be Starseed Pilgrim. It's pretty obtuse, but brilliantly designed, really fun to go into blind and see how much you can figure out. It's like an infinitely replayable puzzle game where you get these little seeds that grow diffrent types of blocks with their own rules and interactions with each other, and you're trying to grow away from the central starting island because there's like, a black corruption spreading up through it towards you and you gotta get away. There's more to it than that but I'm choosing not to spoil it :) It's got a cool vibe and aesthetic, it feels quite contemplative and meaningful--but in a very open way, it's a very subjective experience and can be about as much as you want it to, as big and all encompassing in its themes as you can imagine or a very simple, personal story. It feels like a very humble, unassuming title that just somehow gets you asking these big and small questions through engaging with its premise and just by... continuing to play and see the outer-limits of the world and discoveries.

Oh thank god I was expecting to get the same bunch of "obscure" indie game recommendations I've seen in a dozen of these similarly titled videos. But this is an honest to god treasure-trove! I probably won't play most but there's at least two or three of these that I am so thankful to have discovered through this, they look sick as hell Only heard of 3 games on the list, Lovely Planet, Puppeteer, and Contrast

Ghostcharm just so you know, you may already know but Ner'zhul spirt like the remaining bit of Arthas were both slain by him during his long slumber. So they were cast out of him I am not sure about were Ner'zhul was cast out to if you don't count Shadowlands cannon. I personally think the WOW expansion Shadowlands was BS.
