Years later as an adult he told me that his father said he couldn’t hit women and had to respect them especially his mother but if he couldn’t respect me as his mother then he had to respect me as his wife and he was going to treat him like any other man that would try to hit his wife and punch his lights out. He never actually hit me but tried. My son learned his lesson and he is actually respectful and protective.
