What I find interesting is that these are knock-offs of match box and airfix figures and I own knock-offs of these figures. Side by side you can see the quality of the figure slowly decreasing

I can remember in the 90s you could go to Walmart and one isle was full of army men buckets of different themes. Once I got the dinosaur one and my sister got the western one. I LOVED those buckets and wish I still had them

I had a LOT of those MPC Union Soldiers as a kid. My friends and I used to set them up and have them battle the natives... in outdoor gravel driveways. We would throw rocks at them, our cannon fire I guess you could say. Good Times!!!!!

Great KZfaq channel! Auburn Rubber had a toy soldier in their 1950s line that was smoking a cigarette. A lot of the old toy soldiers from the late '40s and 1950s were posed doing 'regular' soldier-type duties. Marx had a guy eating, and another filling sandbags--you could tell that the guys working in the toy companies were WWII vets.

I thought the “minesweeper” was a sapper. Now however nobody would use a sapper figure (except for stopmotion)
