My props stay at 1/2 in the game, even though I have them at full on the unit. Any ideas?

Thank you kind sir! Complete newbie here but what about the HC Alpha? Does it require different settings for different planes or are some switches just not used on some planes while all other planes use the same switches in the same manner?

I have a new bug as of July 2024. The throttle works for a few seconds, then starts behaving erratic, it will not react properly to my input. Have been using Bravo Quadrant for quite some time, without any problems. I still suspect it's a hardware bug.

Hello Dan, I thought that once on VNAV the autopilot will take the airplane over each fix of the approach and each fix will be reached at the altitude limitation for the fix. Is that possible? Do I really have to insert altitude limitation for each fix when flying VNAV ? Thanks and All the best.

No you can select the lowest altitude and it will automatically advance through the step downs

I find RNAV slightly easier and more precise. No switching to green needles…. Localizers can have a little wave to them. GPS is dead straight. It’s minor and only a preference.

Love the Bonanza and if I had ever owned a piston twin would have been the Baron. Long time CFII/MEI and commercial pilot here. From what I saw you're a good pilot. Nice panel and you know it well. Airplane too. Good radio work. Brief and to the point. Did you go to Flightsafety or equivalent for Baron training? Personally when they gave you the delay at VGT and again at Sedona I would have departed VFR and picked up the IFR on the way or given the weather not at all. But that's your call. Blue skies!

I just got done with recurrent myself at FSI Tampa, how was the Baron training? If you don’t mind me asking, how much is it in the Baron? Was just talking about training options with a Baron owner/client of mine. Great video as usual. Been watching your videos, didn’t realize you’re in the interior business. Can you send me info on that? I have another Baron client who doesn’t like the new style interior seats, they sit a lot higher and he’s tall. It’s a 2019 Baron, had someone shave some foam but didn’t really do anything. You sit a lot higher than the old style seats, looking for options.

Doing the GI-275 run down test is annoying. But it is nice to see the battery life. I chose nearly the exact same Avionics’s suite for my airplane. It makes IMC so much more comfortable. Nice plane!

Did another flight, landed at KSAN, rwy 9. As soon as I turned off the rwy, I called for taxi to General Parking, I let AI take over at that point.. Everything went fine, the little man with the light guided me into the parking spot then disappeared and WALA no pop, and no credit. I give up.

I fly a baron as well, I'm curious about your avionics upgrades. I was told with the de-ice boots that I might as well keep a vacuum powered attitude indicator since you need the vacuum system for the boots and that it can cause issues if you just cap the line off to the instruments since the pump is running against more resistance. Did you find a way around that or have any issues?

The attitude indicator can be removed as well to move to digital. The vacuum regulator will need to be adjusted for lack of gyros. Our Avionics shop has completed this many times. No issues. If you want to keep the vac ADI it’s up to you.
