Personally being from UK, I've never understood the OTT Hyperboles; used by 🇺🇸 Additionally hanging on to the past. No offence meant. They (ELP)'were fantastic musicians in their heyday. But that was then. This version is seemingly more like Heavy Metal Rock. Seemingly irrelevant to the original. Hardly comparable. Additionally the obligatory, unnecessary, mundane drum solo. Surely Mister Palmer, could have executed it; timeously. Best wishes 🇬🇧 🤝 🇺🇸

ELP was a phenomenal show when I saw them twice in the 1970's! Carl Palmer is one of the great drummers of the 20th and 21st century's. Where's the keyboards? oh no one can really play to Keith's level.

I am sorry, Mr. Palmer. Your percussion is always perfect. However, the lack of keyboards cannot be replaced by guitar.

Get what you mean but maybe Carl doesn’t want or need people making comparisons to Emerson. I saw Carl Palmer about 15 years ago at a solo gig in Stratford On Avon when he had this really young guy about 16 on guitar and man, he was awesome. The crowd went bananas for Carl AND the guitar guy.

This is for the 22 people who gave this thumbs down. Keep listining to your Nickelback and complaing about your soulless insignificant life. ELP FOREVER. Thank you Carl!!

I didn't notice this being a Keith Emerson tribute or the band indicating it was. Seems like a regular show labeled as a tribute. Can't knock Carl for what the uploader labeled this as. That being said, WOW!!!! .... total mastery of his kit.

First of all Carl is an amazing drummer. Secondly, his drums are way too loud for the mix. Thirdly, I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that all of the keyboard parts are played by a guitar. Sorry, I realize Carl is the only one of the three that is still alive. However, I don’t think the drummer should be the showcase of the group. That’s just my opinion.

I saw Carl and his band play last year. They opened for Yes and Todd Rundgren. I am a lifelong ELP fan, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed hearing Carl play. Very powerful. I enjoyed him more than the 2 hour Yes show, which was tediously slow.

Nice drumming act but embarassing to call it a tribute to Keith Emerson, who really deserved better ! this is a Carl Palmer see-me, hear-me self-staging act; loveless without any palpable appreciation or honour for one of the most inspiring, innovative and creative keyboarders in the history of pop/rock. This is absolutely waste and definitely not about Keith Emerson or ELP (don't tell us you couldn't find a brave keyboarder and bump the guitar !!!)

I should note that many times I've had the good fortune of playing live on stage with Ian Anderson and some of the band members of Jethro Tull with collaborate projects. Ian still amazing to play with onstage. Final thought remembering several collaborate projects with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull,Steve Smith of the Nakeds,Bruce Dickinson of Iron Madon,Gregg Allmam of Allmam Brothers Band and a lot more in music industry.

I feel fortunate to have known, played on stage with Keith Emerson and Gregg Lake when I was part of John Cafferty and all Beaver Brown Band collaborated on many mutual projects. Its really sucks losing two people just like Buch and Derek Trucks,Michael Jackson I am so blessed to have know them,be involved with them in music and life. Miss all of the good times and all of them.

i don't want to seem like the creep in the crowd here, but; how can you have a tribute to Kieth Emerson without a keyboard player? im just sayin. im sure rachel flowers would have been thrilled to do it....even jordan rudess. i don't think carl would have had a hard time getting a volunteer for the job. but i see he made it more about him, than Kieth. this tune featured a keyboard player. it didn't have a drum solo in it.

There is a visual element that set's Carl Palmer apart from all other drummers. He is a true artist to the core! To be able to hold your own against masters like the late great Greg lake and the one and only Keith Emerson, you HAVE to be this good!

KEITH EMERSON was the very best keyboardist ever & CARL PALMER was the best drummer in rock history. We all know all the other great drummers out there but CARL PALMER was a cut above all of them. I only wish LED ZEPPELIN tapped CARL PALMER after the great JOHN BONHAM died and continued.
