What a wonderful review you really don’t see very often on KZfaq considering it’s all about specs and quick shorts. Thank you so much for sharing your insights and true thoughts especially the fact that you try to embrace it, that really helps me as a street newbie. I can easily take shots on the screen with my XT50 but I’m debating getting this one to completely change my style because the camera seems so cool. ❤

I can only guess hkw much more you would have nit like it if you done all 100% analog, no scanning or sending it to somebody else. I used to print and develop my film (35 mm and 120) and it was fun, but it we were in the 1990's and i had free time, like you , i will bever go back to film, maybe when i have nothing else in life and have my own dark room. Thanks for the video

Have had it for a few days on my x-t5 after shooting exclusively with a X100S and haven't found my sweet spot yet for how to use it, but documented a protest the other day and it was quite fantastic to get documentary shots!

Thanks to YT, these cameras have gone from around £250 to close to £500, used. Camera companies must love these channels.

The 50 F2 is my fourth favorite lens to use for street photography. I mostly use the 18, 33 and 56. But the F2 on the 50 mm is perfect for general street photography. Especially if your subject is people. 🖖 PS I also use limit focus to speed up the auto focus experience. Around 6.5 feet to infinity.

Have I misunderstood you? The 50mm f/2 doesnt have the LM, it is using a stepping motor but the AF is still fast. I bought and sold this lens two Times and I would actually buy a third copy lol. First was sold for the Sigma 56mm, the second for the Fuji 56mm r wr. All awesome lenses, but the size and build quality of the 50mm f/2 was so awesome and I miss that lens again! Damn.

It is one of my most beloved lenses - particularly for portrait photography. It is so tiny so I don't stand out when doing photographs.

Enjoyed your video! I’ve been downsizing to have a mobile and efficient kit. I must say, step one is a bit tricky. Tech companies purposely include new features that will increase chances of sales. So they’ll get you eventually. Then the cycle starts all over again lol.

if you don't use telephoto lenses for sports and wildlife and stuff, the Fujicrons are really all you need.. 16mm f/2.8 for wide landcapes 23mm f/2 for general purpose and street photography 35mm f/2 for your nifty fifty equivalent that is also a general purpose lens 50mm f/2 for your small portrait lens. If you're craving for longer, you can add the 55-200 which is still small enough to be portable, or you can buy Fuji's Plena and get the 90mm f/2. Fujifilm is not the biggest lens ecosystem, and 3rd party is flshing out a lot of aeras that Fuji didn't bother to cover... but when it comes to small prime lenses to do 95% of anybody would ever need to do with a camera : Fujifilm has us covered with really nice offerings that doesn't left us desiring more. It's a pretty nice feeling.

Spot on! Sometimes I am thinking about going to a basic Fujicron set up and ditch my fast primes and zooms. The f/2 series is really amazing, especially the pricing!

I may get old but if I remember right monochrome was a black and white film process which also displayed red and green. but don’t nail me on it. Its over 40 years ago. Btw I like your channel because it hands out useful information about your fuji experience. I like some of your simple pictures. Reminds me on Chet Baker. Simple but on point with a lot of emotion….

Great review! I have 2 of them and 2 X-H2's. and a couple of XT3's. We used the XT4 for many of our videos, from VOGUE to ELLE to Bazaar to Grazia and the output is outstanding. Great kit!

I use the same gear, I only have one zoom lens for when I need, I don't watch gear reviews, I usually don't comment and I don't watch photography content, so which one am I?

I'm a long time fan of of 20/21mm lenses- and this 14mm equivalent is exceptional in performance, and can now be had Used for an equally exceptional price! It's sharp, well corrected all around and the image quality is a joy to behold! Yes, aperture ring way too soft, hate the supplied lens shade (bought a circular, metal 3rd party)- but the results cannot be denied!

I agree so much! I used to beat myself up for a touristy photo, and I may not post them on ig, but they will go to the family album for sure! I forget that i’m not just a photographer but also a husband, brother… so instead of taking photos as an outsider I should be involved as well and take the casual photos too It’s not like I am shooting film so I should just press the shutter anyway

Dude amazing video!! Definitely needed to watch this! Having presets is very helpful. I look at them as a good starting point. I have a certain way I want to edit a photo I’ve taken, I use a preset to start the editing process and then adjust from there. Rarely do I slap on a preset and not have to make any adjustments. So shout out to all the photographers who make presets!

How did you stop shooting JPEG? There is no option to only save RAW in camera... I have to erase card 2 after every session because if fills up with JPEG's.
