Hello i would like to give a try to this amazing design by printing with only 1 perimeter (widht=0.8mm) + filling with epoxy the wall to increase stiffness + weight of the speaker, plus make it kind of splashproff for outdoor usage. Do you have recomendation ? good idea for you ? how to protect tweater and boomer from humidity/water splash ?

I wonder what level spl you are getting. Not that I'm into spl but I have two 12" Alpine RS-12D4s in a sealed enclosure in a Dodge Durango.

How would 2 High efficiency full range speakers handle this arrangement? Something like an Altec Biflex speakers facing each other... Does Isobaric loading only work well with low frequencies?

That's a long port - might be easier with a passive radiator, though not as cool looking.

I'm curious to know how much output you can get if you keep expanding that horn into something the area of a doorway, not that you can't get more output with a bigger driver in a more compact offering, but seeing the performance limits of a 2" driver is pretty cool. You made a Bose Wave radio. Now the other thing would be to make an enormous box with a 12/15/18?

I was in the hay day of loud deep base car stereo days of the early 90's. Lots of linear 5002's, rockford fosgate and literally tons of others on play. I've built systems that have gone to iasca soundoffs nationally mostly using kicker double stitched competition speakers in either isobaric, vented or passive radiator arrangements(popular then). I built and enclosure in place inside of a 75 vette stingray with 4 10" comp kickers and a 600 watt amp that kept breaking off the rear view mirror while driving. I miss those days even tho most music was metal and pop rock. Another system i built made a friends car sound like it had a radical cam in the engine from a block away as he came down the cruising strip playing the intro drums for hot for teacher(van halen). Those were the wild west days of stereo and speaker design that was so fun.

Let me get this straight... you implemented a FDTD algorithm in LibreOffice(?!) and built a custom plugin for FreeCAD that automatically sends parameter updates to be calculated in real time?? That is dedication!

I really enjoyed your video. I have a cnc machine also and am thinking about building a box for my Nissan Frontier crew cab. It only have the space under my rear seat. What recommendations could you give to what order box I could make? I found a box that had 4x 6.5’s, although I think it’s just a shell. I am fine with one or two 6.5’s if I could possibly accomplish some of the sound to represented in your small subwoofer builds! Any help would be amazing!!

the graph in 5:04 show that parralel connection has more dB at lower HZ, how the series connection was would change (if at all) if it was also arranged in an isobaric configuration but in series?

Dude, you're a dang good professional. ?Just a idea for you, Custom subwoofer enclosures designed specifically for Toyota Tacomas, for example... =D The market's begging for them - the options out there are either too pricey or just not up to scratch. With your skills, you could fill this gap and make some serious cash. Count me in as your first customer! Cheers to revolutionizing car audio!

My last car had 3 18s and hit 152db on music and I was just curious about small subs to get loud and move wind you would just have to add a whole bunch of them to increase the cone area ?

I've always built my own boxes, ported my way. And sealed. 2 subs, this blows ppls minds bcs of my 3rd option. Which i won't tell. My own touch. But it's cool. No other box maker has even come up with this idea. But once you have 1 of my boxes you'll never want anything else

I would love to come work in your workshop.. building boxes in the 2000 for friends was always kinda the same, ported or sealed.. now with such precision making a box fit is not that hard, just have to have the right tools to work with :) I i dig your work!.. I need a box for my vega 12" that wants to go in my G37 but it takes up too much space with the standard box.. so it sits for now!

Oh boy... Friend priented the enclosure for me, and boy does it sound Hi-Fi good! It's unbelieveably precise for what i'm used to (10's and 12's, JL's and Audison.). Sure, it doesn't have that much party factor, but for most applications it definately has enough of it. I'm gonna get more of these for the cars i have, this became an instant "go-to" solution for my needs. I'm definately going to experiment more with these.
