I have a 2016 Lacrosse that has always sucked oil into the throttle body which coats the inside of the upper intake and makes all the intake valves look like crap. The PCV Valve is pressed into the valve cover and is not removable. New PCV Valves are only available in a new valve cover. Ask me how I know. It is well maintained and the only thing I can figure is when the engine needs more air than can pass thru the air filter it pulls it from the crankcase. ( as stupid as that sounds) I have tried every trick to remove the valve without damage but it won't budge. I have resorted to replacing the air filter every 5 to 6k. That seems to cut down on the oil getting into the throttle body.

Ah the last part was what I needed … so I did the same and have the same bike and breaks .. but where u hit the breaks I have to squeeze it fully to break and it’s not that hard when I do it .. I can still slide cuz it’s not so tight .. any advice

yo when i install my rod n flat top you think i should just take the piston rings off my old one and throw them on the flat top so i dont have to mess with clearances even tho this piston and rod i have fits hemi and non hemi 212

This may be the case for that year, but the last generation of impalas, like my 2015 3.6, don't have a pcv valve on the back of the engine. That fitting is a permanently placed metal fitting and the pcv hose fastens on to it. Do not attempt to pull it out of the valve cover. You will only destroy it and end up with a large repair bill.

@@jimmcdonald5448 I attempted to remove that tube from the rear valve cover. I got aggressive thinking it was just tight. Wrong. It isn't designed to be removed. I bent it out of shape and had to take it in and get a new valve cover installed. That was costly. Supposedly, I now have the improved gasket on the valve cover, which controls the air flow better to keep the intake from sucking in oil. I don't have a problem with mine getting oil in the intake. I guess you need to install a catch can. This 3.6 engine really has the power but like other direct injection engines, the valves get all carboned up. The manufacturer makes bad designs, and we pay for it. It's really important to change your oil every 4-5,000 miles, because deposits will wear the three timing chains and that will be an issue. My brother ignored that advice, and he got a code about the timing chains and drove it with a misfire. I told him not to. He was on the highway, and the engine threw a rod right through the block. Supposedly, if you take care of these engines, they will last a long time.

Your video is spot on, you'll get about a gallon out through the petcock. I figure if you change out a gallon every 2-3 years you should always have reasonably fresh coolant. And you're right, it is self bleeding, that's what the small hose that runs from beneath the ps res to the coolant tank does.
