I'm sure I've said it before (at my stAge I forget a lot), but I'll risk saying it again: You ROCK! Very clear narration, nicely paced out talk (not too slow, not too fast), excellent animations, terrific demonstrations, bonus explanations, great content! Thank you for the education and the encouragement!

I like the trick with the tin foil, I've seen similar tricks to that one. As far as the pipe clip goes, I find it easier to just replace the nail with a screw and using a right angle adapter for my screw gun.

A $15K claim is considered lucky on some jobsites. Imagine an out of control leak on the 10th floor of a highrise. I've seen it happen, over $100K in damage.... and a shark bite would have stopped it.

Putting the heat on the buttom...soldering the bottom first...is so correct. I made 2,000 solar control boartds with twelve 1/2" copper solder joints per board. That made 24,000 joints. I tested each control board to 100 psi for one hour. The boards were shipped to the new housing project at Camp LeJuene NC. One board for one house. Out of the 2,000 boards...there were three leaks. We figured due to shipping. I had one great apprentice...Brian Foster. He never soldered before. He made half to 3/4's of the total. All the best Brian !

Nice , helpful video my brother. Thanks 🙏 for this. I'm a novice at best. But we recently had a plumbing emergency at my father's and were unable to afford the pros, so, they got stuck with me. And the only plumbing I've done was as a landscaper/irrigation systems. The guy who showed me how to do it was a plumber before and said everything you did word for word pretty much (about 1/4 turns, not taking too long after cementing/drying etc) I showed my father this video so he wouldn't think i was being "fussy". I learned early in my subcontracting adventures to always heed the voice(s) of Industry Standards. They're standards for a reason While of course the most obvious, desirable thing to do is always consult professionals in any trade for such things, videos like this can be a life saver for those who simply can't afford to. THANKS again bro. Great channel man

Good video, thanks. Can I solder one side of a joint before I take the assy under the house to solder the other side? Or do I have to do both sides of the joint AR once?

The wet/dry vac just saved me...I could not get the water out of the line, solder would NOT take, compressed air was only getting a little at a time. The wet/dry vac sucked out about a quart of water, then compressed air to dry the end and it was like working with new copper

I never had any problems with it, as long as you deburr the pipe and the penetration is good, there's no reason for it to not work.

No no no. Buy the worst, cheapest tools you can. That way you can put those few companies still making good tools out of business and be stuck with garbage the rest of your lives. This will give you lots of opportunities to complain and whine about lousy tools you have to use because the good ones are extinct. Not to mention that hey, if the junk breaks, you can always get another tin foil tool for cheap. You won't have to wonder why we have such a throw-away society when you look at your own actions.

Thanks a lot for your videos my friend. I watched your unsolder to remove redundant water line and I installed a new one and of course soldered. It was my first time and I’ve ran the line for days now and absolutely no leak thankfully. I followed your unsolder and solder copper pipe videos and it was a success! Thank you very much!
