Thanks Cillin, Glad you mentioned typical Wicklow - the amount of days with fog on the Sally Gap - it creates good photographic conditions - unfortunately we can't pick the days we're free to go out and do a little photography! Jimmy

must go back to that location - never got great shots when i was there, mostly as i was too late in the day. But great to see that it offers much better than i have....please keep it up!!! Great to see a fellow Irish nature photographer at work

Thanks Cillin, Your spot on - it's not great for bird photography generally - I can remember that year - the coastal field was flooded and filled with wildfowl. Jimmy

Some great shots Jimmy, if you had taken the Bangor trail instead of the Western Way from the Letterkeen trailhead, you would have seen the sights you were looking for. The Owenduff bog is a sight to be seen ! One of the best vistas in the west of Ireland.

@jimmymcdonnell94354 ай бұрын
Hi Gavin, It's located in an area called Magheranraheen Or Rockforest. Not the easiest to explore. The area between Mullaghmore and road gives the place it's name (search for Red Walk) - large boulders on the limestone - well worth a stroll across this boulder field. If woodland does it for you try also Slieve Carran - Eagles Rock area. Fantastic old hazel wood. Have a great time. Jimmy

Good morning,congratulations on the videos i do not speak English i translate with google looking at your videos i saw that from nikon d850 you switched to the nikon z8,since it is something I would like to do as well, i wanted to know if you recommend me to switch from d850 to z8 if yes for what reasons? Thank you
@jimmymcdonnell94355 ай бұрын
Thanks Marco, If you’re a landscape photographer then no - no reason to switch bar less weight with newer lenses. If you’re a wildlife photographer then yes for auto focus tracking and other such features. There’s also something special about a real world viewfinder that’s absent from mirrorless. Image quality may be a little better on d850 - I can remember being able to pull more detail from dark tones - don’t quote me on that! Jimmy
