Nice video! Very quickly please. How many seedlings are allowed in a 5 gallon bucket? Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for watching! In our experience, depending on the variety, you can grow roughly 10-12 carrots in the 5 gallon buckets. Use around 15-18 seeds sown thinly and then thin them out slightly if needed but take care when thinning out in order to not attract carrot root fly! Around 2-3 inches apart is good. Hope this helps!

Surely, a good fungal network is a good sign. To help break down carbon rich materials into nutrients for the grass?

Absolutely! Removing them by improving drainage is more of a cosmetic improvement to the lawn 😊

My property was a brick yard when the town was being built. When I bought it you could still see where the foundations were. I make my own biochar, leaf mould, fertilizers, compost and buy tons of top soil to amend. Off season I deep core aerate and fill holes with the biochar compost mix. My lawn is one of the best looking in town but its been a long haul. When I first moved in the only thing that would grow is thistle. Now it looks like professional landscape lawn.

What a hero - thanks for the advice and guidance. I actually just want mine for the house so don't need to pinch, but Google had me confused with the 'pinching' terminology. Your video cleared it right up!

Hi, I just took the seeds off while they are green and put them into a box. I assumed they would turn brown on their own. I want to eat some and plant some. Did I pick too early? How likely is it to turn brown on plant in the UK?
@enviiuk
@enviiuk 8 күн бұрын
It's possible that your green seeds may turn brown as they dry out, but this process is not guaranteed, and the seeds might not develop fully if they were picked too early! After a few weeks, test the seeds by planting a small number. Freshly picked green coriander seeds can be eaten though but they have a different flavour profile compared to fully dried seeds and are often more citrusy and less intense. Hope this helps.

These are extremely easy to sow. Just put them somewhere moist and they germinate. It doesn't matter how or where.

How does the tablet work to accelerate the formation of the compost
@enviiuk
@enviiuk 11 күн бұрын
The specific nutrients in Compost Accelerator stimulate bacterial growth whilst also increasing the temperature in the centre of your pile. This aids in the breakdown and sterilisation of garden materials. Hope this helps! More info here: www.envii.co.uk/garden/small-packets/compost-accelerator/

Do you have to move the young carrots to a new, larger space after, or do you leave it in that small pot until it's ready to harvest? I just started my gardening in less than a year and I've only been doing chillies and tomatoes so far, so carrots got me intrigued haha. Thank you!

As long as the pot is deep enough for the variety of carrot you're growing you can simply leave them in there! Here's a video we made that should give you all the details 🙂 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZpyimMVnsKqymaM.html
