Lt230se 2002 won't pull out of 4L any ideas. I know the range shifter cable connects to the transfer case mechanism. Think its seized?
@RedEyedJack13 күн бұрын
Could also be the shift interlock switch.
@RedEyedJack13 күн бұрын
The cable could be seized but I'd check that interlock switch/solenoid. It's a pain to get at as it's above the transfer case.

On a discovery 1 v8 the bolts for plastic cover are the only thing hold the sensor. I used a 1/4 drive deep socket with a u joint and long extension. It was still pretty difficult.

Have you scanned the ABS computer for codes
@mcleodmarcel48Ай бұрын
Don’t have to it’s legendary symptom of these trucks. I’m going to change out both wheel speed sensors on my truck anyway a lot of the owners who own these trucks neglected them so it’s good to do some preventative maintenance.
@RedEyedJackАй бұрын
@mcleodmarcel48 do you only have the three amigos? If you only have the TC, ABS, and HDC lights, it's more than likely not a wheel speed sensor. When you have a wheel speed sensor not reading, it kicks on the brake light, too. Check your wheel speed sensor connectors while you are at it. they get brittle and loose connection, throw voltage high or low codes. If you only have the three amigos, it's probably a shuttle valve switch issue. Bad ground, faulty shuttle valve switch, etc. There are 11 different reasons why the SLABS computer will throw warning lights with multiple causes to throw each code, so 40-50 different possibilities the lights are on.

Intro is way too long, tedious. Otherwise, you're doing fine. Hand-waving has to go. Makes you look like a junior rapper. The front fender is oddly attractive. Overall, you have done well. I hope my honesty helps. 😀

I dont remember which one, but i wrote it down at my shop. I'll find it and let you know. I want to do the same one day. Love your channel

It is a little intimidating at first. However, once you get into it. It's not that bad. You just need to have a few things for the proper set up. Reassembly video is on the way!!!!

Another great video, I bought that disco from LR in Oahu 2004, second owner and only had 7k miles. Oil changed every 3k miles with castrol 5w50. Overheated and blew head gasket about 6 years & 10k ago, did a quick engine pull, total inspection teardown and had heads milled. Plan was to do what jack is doing around this same time frame but I shifted project directions.

i have had 3 klr's gen 1's stop replacing the tensioner spring its the biggest KLR myth there ever was,Even Kawasaki mechanics will tell you that.
@RedEyedJack3 ай бұрын
If it's such a myth, why have so many broke? I'm good friends with a kawasaki tech, he had a coffee cup on his tool box with 10+ broke springs and a handful of broke doohickeys. For me, it was piece of mind. I'm a natural tinkerer, so it was a fun Saturday wrenching on the bike. And there was zero tension left in the spring for any adjustment. The torsion spring will hold up for the rest of my bikes life.

Braided brake lines go a long way towards making the stock brakes better. Fork springs and a rear shock are mandatory mods to go along with the fork brace. Open air box and exhaust are worth a little extra noise. I had to replace my clutch at 20k miles because of off-roading with a 16T front sprocket. Your clutch wont last much longer.
@RedEyedJack6 ай бұрын
I agree the braided brake lines make a difference, ive installed them since this video. Fork springs and rear shock on not mandatory if you are not carrying any extra weight. I've got 30k miles on the stock suspension. Only thing I've done is fork seals. Could it be better, yes, mandatory, nah. But you are carrying any extra weight, yeah, the upgraded suspension is a must. The stock exhaust is nice and quite. Just the way I like it. I wish there was a light weight exhaust that was near stock noise level. Most I've seen and heard are too damn loud.
