Is there enough space to add 2? Would there be more benefits of doing that?
@TabVentures3 ай бұрын
2 panels? Likely not in the panel dimensions I’ve used. Benefits in producing more power would give your more options to run other devices fridges etc. would come in handy if I were to run electric motor with its own bank of batteries.

so does this mean both batteries only charge from the solar when the battery isolator switch has combined both?
@TabVentures3 ай бұрын
No. Isolator is only for to manage the draw from the battery. Controlling the access to the batteries from the motor/anchor and various electronics. The Victron controller is connected directly to the to battery so batteries will charge regardless what position the isolator is in 👍

I put a small bead of silicone around the bearing buddy where it is hammered into the hub (after its installed) this stops any water entering. Good job with the electrical tape as those boots love to fly off. I use a zip tie this way, i can still remove the boot by hand to check there is enough grease pressure without removing the wheel, and they simply just push back on with the same zip tie. Only thing i would say is not to hit the race with the hammer always use the old race as one nick with cause the bearing to fail. I made a tool out of the old race just for knocking them in.
@TabVentures4 ай бұрын
Great idea with the silicone.. yeah, I should add - be super careful of hitting the NEW race with the hammer. Both for sharp edges and knocking it out of shape. 👍

Just a follow up question - what size rotors are they on your yellowfin trailer ? 255mm / 15mm thick ford pattern?
@TabVentures4 ай бұрын
@@Blackpumkin6 yep they are.. Now this maybe irrelevant, but I’ve changed the studs in all my Rotor hubs( story for another day losing yet another wheel this time on the YF trailer). Although it’s a Ford hub, what I found was the studs were 16mm Holden studs. I ended upgrading to the thicker 19mm Ford studs. 👍

I find the Pajero works well with constant power vs running up using momentum. It's better to choose the track well than to bulldoze through it. I also have a Gen 4 with no lockers

How did the Paj compare to the Patrol? Ive a 2011 NT Pajero and have always wondered how it compares to the patrol, with them both having independent suspension set ups. Haven't seen many comparison videos.
@TabVentures7 ай бұрын
Pajero has always held its own in these situations.. tyres and clearance is a big factor.. patrol I’m pretty sure had diff locks where as Paj didn’t and relied only on the traction control. This was the first trip up there a long time ago now.. I was very happy to have did it on only 2 inch lift. And it was very capable..
