Love the channel. I’m a mid 90s golfer, my 2nd year playing. I do shoot in the 100s at times. I went on a frenzy for months trying all the premium balls, and 2 piece balls I could try. I ended up with the Q Star Tour plus the Divide as well. I’m gaming the Tour Softs, never tried them, figured why not. My favorite premium ball is the TP5, but my constant gamer from here on is the Srixon. Srixon balls I feel are underrated in ways, I love them! I feel the Q Star Tour is great for the value, 3 piece construction. Can’t beat it. Thanks for all the reviews!

Wow, I never heard about the Vice Ball! Used to be a good player but now at 70 after knee surgeries, back at playing after 10 months. I just bought several dozen of various Wilson balls. Not bad. However, I found a Callaway Chrome Soft last week and I’m super impressed. I drove one of short Pat 4’s here on the Oregon Coast. Feeling that ball off the face of the new Srixon driver felt like a balata. Pin high actually. Only thing is, I wasn’t sure if it was the old Callaway or the new one. Hmmm…. Anyway, great work you’re doing. Keep up the honest reviews. Rare these days!

When I played in highschool we were given pro v1s for the last ten years that’s all I’ve played and I’ve experienced the unforgiving nature of them. However I never realized how in forgiving they were till I started playing som softer options I finally settled on the callaway chrome soft and I feel I’m a lot less stressed if I don’t hit it just right.

Can a 20 handicap with a high swing speed 105+ mph play this ball? Would this be better than a Vice Pro for me especially in terms of forgiveness? Just curious, but I’m gonna try the vice tour when they get here Friday.

I am new to golf. This is my second season. I was happy to see a list of balls I don't need to rush to try out. But the Costco balls, that is different for me. I just don't want to care if I lose a ball. Costco balls are cheap to learn on imo. Do you have another balls as good and cheap to learn this game on. I swing slow and am +50 years old.

Great question and I sure do. The cut red golf balls are a dollar a piece and are available at Walmart and target. The Wilson zip, my number two ranked golf ball, is also around a dollar a golf ball and available at Walmart and Amazon And honestly I know this one sounds weird. But the top flight XL distance can be either at a dollar golf ball or even a little cheaper and it's not bad for a beginner. I actually had pretty decent results with it Another great option is the maxfli soft fli. And finally off the top of my head, the Pinnacle soft. All these are great options and are about a dollar a golf ball

I've been playing the zip for years, back when the old Staff logo was on the ball. I'm saying six or seven years ago. All the guys in my league thought I was insane until they hit them. I play other balls and go back to the Zip. They discontinued it and brought back without the staff logo but it performs identical to the original.

I agree with everything about TaylorMade. Never liked them except the INK ball. Too hard, feels like hitting a rock off your clubface. Thats what a FEEL player will tell you cause I just did. I prefer the CHROME TOUR or CHROME SOFT, or a ProV1. At age 60, Ive gotten pretty used to the distance and spin I get from these. And my yardages stay where I expect them to, even on a misshit.

I'm not giving away any of the data on this video alone. If you're interested in any of the golf balls mentioned, I have full reviews on every single one of them that are about 20 minutes long. And there I go in depth on everything you could possibly want to know about them. I can see where you're coming from, but also try to see where I'm coming from. I want people to watch my content, and if I just give everything away in a top 10 video I wouldn't get many subscribers or many people diving in to the actual reviews. They would just want the tidbits and the notes from top 10s that release once a year.

So this is something I test in my reviews a lot of the time. To be completely honest with you it's not as big of a deal as it used to be. It's actually pretty rare for me to find a ball that doesn't roll true or has wobble. Not saying it doesn't happen cuz it definitely does. But there's no way in heck it's justifiable for twice the price

Geat video and love the “no fear” of being unbiased. Few things. You are correct and even not harsh enough on kirkland, complete, utter trash, top 3 worst balls i have ever hit it in over 40 yrs of golf. MyGolfSpy in their ball reviews even gave it a “do not buy” label. 3 of every 12 dont even pass regulations. ProV’s. Most overrated ball in golf that ppl play for “status” instead of playing the correct ball for them. True story. Last yr watched a guy pay $78 for a dozen for ProV’s because he already lost 6 on front 9. 🤯. Worker suggested the $1.50 a ball jar as back 9 is much harder, he said “no thanks, i only play ProV’s.” “Stupid is as stupid does Forrest.” Compression…75% or more of golfers dont understand what it even means. KZfaqrs need to make more videos on why lower compression benefits slower swing speeds to open ppl’s eyes so they quit wasting money. For anyone looking for a great ball. I spent 2 yrs testing over 20 diff balls to find “mine”. Calloway ERC Soft. I swing driver 100-105 and it beats ProV in every single catagory and its really not that close. Vice Pro and Titleist Tour Soft were good as well, but the ERC Soft is just an incredibly consistent ball at $40 a dozen. Theres a reason why Eli Calloway, the founder of Calloway, plays the ERC. All the balls Calloway makes and the founder plays ERC, ask yourself why?

Very interesting. I’ve fiddled about with balls etc and I’ve settled on the Supersoft Max/Reva ball. I like the feel on all shots putts we’ll have no problems with lip outs due to size. The one thing I really like is where it’s a little bigger I seem to be able to launch it easier even with fairway woods. But agree with you about the more expensive tour balls being too high compression for the average/below average swing speed player

It’s pretty sad how you were criticizing this balls ability to be putted or chipped and you wouldn’t stop whining about the alignment tool. Because one word. Consistency. I do all of my reviews the same. Same format, same testing. However, let's play along with your game for a second and pretend I simply reviewed the ball based on what it is advertised for. Which is long drive. It's ok. Distance was good not great. So if you're someone who drives their golf ball into the fairway, and just picks it up afterwards, or you are an aspiring long drive hitter, then I guess it's good not great. But here's the thing. 99.999 percent of the general public don't care about that. They want to know how the ball performs tee to green. Have a great day 👍
@Dah_J
@Dah_J 12 сағат бұрын
@@GolfBallAddict I understand why you reviewed all its metrics for the sake of consistency across your videos, but it was just frustrating to me how critical you were of it as a putting and chipping ball when clearly nobody is buying this ball for it’s feel around the green. I would think most average golfers would actively avoid a golf ball that is overpriced and says “long drive” on it. Especially if what they were looking for was more feel around the green.

With your smash factor being lower, I don't think it's a golf ball issue. I think you're just not truly squaring the ball up properly. I'm at 95-97 club speed with driver and can get to 1.50 even 1.51 smash with it. My ball speed is in that 143mph ball speed area.

I definitely agree with you on the confidence. However that's why I recommend ball fitting so much. My thing is, you can be playing the worst golf ball on the planet and be confident in it. I was playing the tp5 back in the day and thought I was hot stuff because I was playing a five-layer ball with tons of spin. However it wasn't until I lost my final one on the course and had to switch to a Duo soft to just finish the round. When I all of a sudden got 20 yards more distance, and pard 4 of the 5 last holes, that's when I knew something was up. That kind of propelled me to start the channel also.
