I never understand people who request things like 'make your image smaller' - This is a reaction video and we're here to watch your reaction. If anything you should be bigger in frame, I want to be able to see you. If I wanted to watch the lyric video I'd just go watch the lyric video. This isn't shade to you, I love your commentary. It's just frustration over people who want the reactor to be smaller and not pause as much etc etc. Like that's the whole point of a reaction. Sorry, rant over ;) <3

Now you need to watch Dear John from the Speak Now Tour...it really showcases how young she was, and her facial expressions tell the tale of how her experience with John Mayer really affected her, just as much as the story the lyrics tell. It's the prequel to Would've, Could've, Should've.

I studied TS touring when I was in college for music business. She is a whole business, and to tour at this scale and not go bankrupt is huge. Lady Gaga went bankrupt on her Monster tour, due to her manager/team of that tour. TS has a solid team and I totally believe her and her managers are fully in control.

Fellow metalhead here 🤘🏼🤘🏼 my sister is a swifty and my visit to see her (I’m in IA, she’s in FL) happened to coincide with the TTPD release and she made me stay up to listen to every song. I liked Taylor when her debut album came out in HS but fell off and embraced metal. But I was always an English lit nerd. Now TS is a major bonding/healing element for my sister and I.

This is my absolute favorite song off this album. That being said, i am not sure what it means... but the images it conjures up and the lyrics are amazingly beautiful. I think its maybe about her being persecuted in the media and made out to be bad, and seen as such by others, but then they end up in a similar situation as she did and realize she was in the right all along and she reaches out to help them get through/cope with it because she knows what its like. Thanks to all the swifties for the info in the comments, i hadnt heard about the poem! Love it even more now

Just discovered your videos tonight and I love them! With the pausing and going back to really notice all the details and truly appreciate each song, love to see it!! "You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would've been fine and that made me want to die" and "i was never good at telling jokes but the punchline goes i'll get older but your lovers stay my age" jesus christ. This song hurts so bad but my god she murdered him in broad daylight with that line!!!!!! And he deserved it. This song made me cry so many times. I love all her stuff but i think this one captures her experience and pain better than anything

Great reaction, I don’t think her relationship was exactly abusive but she definitely felt stifled (in her song High Infidelity there’s a line that says “you know there’s many different ways that you can kill the one you love; the slowest way is never loving them enough”. Although I don’t think that song is about the same relationship as fresh out the slammer, I do think the message still applies!) I absolutely adore the Melodies on this song in the verses, the writing is incredible
@MorganChaos
@MorganChaos 2 күн бұрын
There are honestly so many references to this relationship as a prison, a cage, a box, something that was trapping her. It seems like she made herself so small for this man and it seems like she'd been needing out for awhile.
@Atomicbl0ndie
@Atomicbl0ndie 2 күн бұрын
She referred to the relationship as a “jail” in a positive way in Ready For It when she said “he can be my jailer, Burton to this Taylor” so this song is also a nice call back to that and how she no longer liked what she originally thought was good

I'm a new swiftie. I mean I loved taylor when I was younger then I kinda of strayed away til Red never heard folklore or evermore. But TPD hands down has to be my fav album. I've been listening to her non-stop for a month now. And when I say non-stop I mean it! My 10 hour shift at work is 10 hours of taylor. When I get home i start going down the rabbit hole. Anywho, TPD is really helping me push through the day. I suffer with Major Depression, ADHD, all kinds of panic and anxiety. It's been rough. Thanks Taylor for having amazing talent that can resonate with everyone! I'll stay Down Bad for a Fortnight with anyone Who's Afraid of Little Ole Me in the Tortured Poets Department. Because I'm Guilty as Sin. ....ok I'm done ;)

Brian blew me away. Even though you can tell it's NOT Trevor, he's got that cadence down fucking PERFECTLY. Raw highs kinda like Unhallowed era and the lows with the cadence of everything from Deflorate and beyond. If he's already doing this well, I can't wait to see him develop over time.

I relate to this song from my own perspective. I had a long-term marriage that imploded. The last 3 years of the marriage, my ex got more distant and disapproving. I walked on eggshells all the time, hoping not to set off my ex’s temper. When the end came, I found out he’d been cheating. His emotional abuse, convincing himself that I was worthless, made his behavior acceptable in his own head. I was devastated when my marriage ended. But once I got out of the situation and got some perspective - once I realized just how bad the situation I was in actually was and that I shouldn’t have to live that way - I totally felt like I was fresh out the slammer.

@@DeathMetalDadReacts Everything is so much better now. I’ve been married to the love of my life who values, loves, and respects me for the past 5 years. But Taylor’s music taps in to those dark times for so many of us. It makes us feel seen and so much less alone. Her song Tolerate It is the one that makes me feel like she read my diary during those years.

I experienced something very similar with the guy I was engaged to. It was like a weight had lifted that I knew I'd been carrying, but I hadn't realised just how heavy it was. He was also cheating, but by that point it was less devastating and more insulting. Taylor always seems to have a song for whatever we go through 💛 I hope you're in a healthier and happier space now!
