Europe is stuck with 200 years old British propaganda about Turkey as they developed it as the state instrument to destroy an already dying Ottoman State then. Well the things changed ever since, but not so much for the Western mind and its beliefs about other nations. However, Europeans are also curious people that they travel and learn which helps to correct their views about others. Nice.
