Thank you! These are such cute gifts. I struggled to get the batting to stay at the end of the hanger as I was putting on the sleeve. I eventually stuffed some wadding into the end of the sleeve before inserting the hanger.

I appreciate your clear and helpful tutorial. I have some project bags that need their own needle books and these are perfect to add to the bags. They won't take too long and I can coordinate them to each bag. Thank you for sharing.

Nice tutorial. Very irritating music.

Like the project, but the sound of the machine, your voice and music is difficult to listen to. A good tutorial doesn’t need background music. Otherwise, great tutorial!😊

Hello, Fiona! I just thought I'd let you know that your instructions are superb! This is only my second time making a bag this large. I made this pattern using 12oz waxed canvas for the exterior base, water resistant canvas for the pockets, and quilt cotton w/batting for the interior. I made it for my daughter who is an RN in hospital. She needed a sturdy bag for carrying her personal things such as hand lotion, a book to read, etc. I don't know what all else she will keep in it, but I believe she is going to love this bag with all its neat features. I hope the canvas is not too sturdy for her. It is very rigid. Thank you so much for the tutorial! I think you are a fantastic teacher. Peg

Curious about using double fabric and interfacing as well - other patterns use a single piece of fabric and interfacing. Agree about the music being distracting. :)
@fionasfabrics33883 ай бұрын
It all really depends on how stiff you want your basket to be and what fabric you use. Taken on board re music ✅

Hi Fi, a bit late to the party, but I think I missed what weight of interfacing you used? I use H250 would this be sufficient? Which one did you use please? TIA xx
@fionasfabrics33885 ай бұрын
It’s been a while to remember but you can use any interfacing, just depends how rigid you want them also what fabric you’re using. If you use curtain/ furnishing fabric then you could leave the interfacing out as these fabrics tend to be a heavier weight. They’re really useful containers 😁

What a great tutorial! Lots of great general tips too, thanks a lot! Question about the pages of the book: can I use something other than felt? Felt is the one thing I do not have in my stash of scraps 🙄
@fionasfabrics3388 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind comments. I’ve only ever used felt but I think as long as the fabric doesn’t fray and your needles can be inserted easily it shouldn’t be a problem, definitely worth trying out some from your stash.
@dorothyyoung82319 ай бұрын
Do you have flannel? That works. You can use regular cotton fabric if that’s what you have. You might pink the edges to discourage fraying!

I just found out about needle cases, and I stumbled across your video. You give so many helpful tips, especially about turning fabric right side out. I have always struggled with this process because I did it incorrectly. Thanks to you, turning fabric out will be easier for me. Your designs are simple and lovely, and your instructions are easy to understand. Thank you very much.
