7:23. I think it’s better protection if you hold the board with the unloved hand and pull the hot tinfoil pack out with the oven mitt hand??? But you didn’t seem to mind it !

Glad the thumb is recovering!! And in one of your videos could you talk about how you organize the business side. I’m not asking about personal details, but how do you set up the money side of several people picking? Is it every man for himself. Does it go in a general pot? Does everyone sell to one person? Is it a co-op? Just a general idea. If you think this is something you would like to talk about??

Most of the time we split our dried mushrooms equally at the end of the season, which includes the person watching camp and drying them. That way we can comfortably be more thorough while out harvesting together.

I highly respect the way you set up and take down camp!! I no longer camp, but when I did camp, before setting up it was always clean up other people’s mess!! Pack it in, pack it out!! Y’all do a good job!! Also I love the fire set up! I never heard of handling the waste water like that! What a marvelous idea! Wish I had known about it!!

My sister went to Japan and there is a health spa that has pools you can sit in and let the minnows nibble on you, it’s great for skin issues. And it’s expensive!! So you got the treatment for free!!

Amazing story!I have a story as well. I was picking the barrier burn from 2003 in 2004 picking it up the Jamieson rd. I picked after work and on the weekends and any other time off.. anyways I was working this slope from the bottom side took about a week was about a 5 full buckets a day. And finally worked to the top and suddenly the back side appeared.. it was giant morel cap to cap as far as I could see. But they were all a week old spored out and done.. so sad it was probably over a $10000 patch gone a started kicked them and went walking thru the fields of giant morel caps. Looked behind and looked at the long trail thru the sea of mushrooms.

I could listen all day, Randy! Makes me want to go pick right now! I have a freakishly similar story. My best pick includes a late freeze and a burl Black Willow. As I listen to your story I thought you were in my head. 580lbs. that year for a non burn in Kansas...it was killer. Phil, Rando great job eh!

Sadly, I could not watch this video. The music in the background made it difficult for me to hear Randy. I do have a hearing disorder but I think the volume of the music competes with your audio. Personally I would rather hear a bit of crackling fire with Randy's story and skip the music while there is talking.
@northernwildharvest4 күн бұрын
I actually had no music when i first exported the video but was given feedback to add music. Appreciate you giving that feedback because it was what I had originally planned to do.

I have to agree with northern as I find the music a distraction that’s not really needed, I don’t know what a north western feel is as I’m not in Canada, it would be nice to just listen to the story without the distraction of the music, is it really better for it, for people with a hearing issue it could be an issue where as if it’s not in the vlog would people really miss it or would they really be listening to Danny more intently. Many thanks from the UK 🇬🇧
