Yeah, like glen gould said: The real masterful playing is not for the audience anyways, but for the artist himself, for the music. We are lucky that he switched the record-button on, when he played the quick and defining arpeggios you are talking about. They do participate a deep strength to the otherwise quite depressing and hopless feel to the song for me, but it just brings you out of your concept if you make a mistake playing them live on stage - so I can understand the simplified version too.

@@kjnoll6 he is a very emotive artist and sings life to me music is so much more then entertainment. Life is not all fun and games sad to say. Personally he helped me out of some dark times and some of his songs are truly heartbreaking it would be hard to sing what you see and feel when most just want to ignore the bad stuff and pretend all is good. A musicians job is not all fancy fun. Sorry just watched small things WOw I talk way to much 🌈☺

Just bagged it! One less song for us, it was a bummer, I've heard a rumor that he said in a BBC interview he's hoping to release more music regularly though, hopefully new music out around January is what he said, so hopefully he'll come back around soon!

Isaac Landin Flower I do enjoy his live versions since they are longer and transport you a bit, but I would have been happy with more songs in place of all longer versions if you know what I mean. Not complaining. It was great!

I was also so bummed because he's been playing end of the affair at almost all his shows on his Europe tour so I was expecting that one, but it looks like he isn't playing that one on his north america tour which stinks because I have been waiting such a long time to hear that one live, haha
