I always ask myself when the serpent questioned eve, why didn't she just say "i don't know, let's ask God about it!" So when I find myself in a conundrum, instead of leaning on my own understanding like eve did, I try to remember to take my quandry to the Lord first.

The story in Genesis is not real as Satan is not real. So it's not that the woman was tempted or the man - it's whether anyone wants to believe in the mythology. (Hint: you can make it turn out any way you want.)

That doesn‘t make any sense! The geneology of Cain would not produce giants, it is practically the same DNA. The sons of God are angels, which is obvious.

Hold on now... you refer to her as a 'stronger party'? Comparing her to 'God Himself'? A role similar to 'God Himself'? The feminists here are going to love you (feminism is just another form of pride). The pronouns of God are HE, HIM and I AM. You should be cautious, sir. Eve was NOT created to deliver Adam from evil, as you implied. As God ABSOLUTELY used and still uses women to His will, I should not have to remind that the woman is referred to as 'the weaker vessel' (1Pet3:7) 'For man is not from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.' (1Cor11:8) 'For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.' (1Tim2:13-14) Don't attack me, this is the Word of God, take it up with Him. Here's some of the impact- Today, there are plenty of Godly women, thank you Lord for them, but it should be clear to see that the godless, liberal women in society are the ones leading the charge to more ungodliness with the celebration of abortion and s.ex.ual im.m.orality, not to mention a variety of 'new age' beliefs, also known as paganism and witchcraft, just with a bunch of flowers and butterflies around it. 'For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.' (2Tim3:6-7) Yes, there are plenty of godless, liberal men doing the same, but the women counterparts are leading the charge. At least it's plain for me to see. Thank you God for the vigin Mary who You chose to give birth to Jesus! (in the bible, after His birth and He begins His ministry, there is very little mention of Mary. Bless her, yes! But do not make her an idle. It's all about Jesus, pray to Him, not her) So, can we talk about Jesus now? We are all born into sin, He came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief! (1Tim1:15) Don't get mad at me, go to Jesus, He says, "Come to Me"

Fallen angels are not called sons of God and angels were never created in the image of God but men, so to say that they were angels that mated with women contradicts God's Word

Eve was always the easier target, and Satan knew that to get a man to do anything, he had to work through the woman and get her on your side. Sara was used the same way. More catastrophic results. Women never acknowledge the consequences of their actions, they will always blame a serpent or the man, or anything else near by.

I actually think God told the man not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It doesn't say that God told the woman. Additionally, some translations say when you eat vs. if you eat, showing God knew that he or they would eventually eat from the tree. Secondly, even though it doesn't say; there is an implication that Adam told Eve , by the way she responds to the serpent. The serpent says, " Did God tell You that you can't eat from any tree " creating confusion in her response, saying, we are not to eat or touch. This is the next ( speculation implying) that Adam told Eve not to eat or touch in a means to protect her. We use this with our children to protect them, causing more curiosity. Furthermore, the serpent implies God is lying, promising the ability to be like God. I find it interesting that God went down the line distributing justice. Finally, I am troubled by so little emphasis on the Tree of Life and why they were not encouraged to eat from that tree. I think God knows the existence of evil after Lucifer rebelled. I think there are so many stories within this story that shows the consequences of disobedience. Thanks for the opportunity to comment on this subject. Have a blessed day!

They were actively discouraged from eating from tbe tree of life that’s part of why tbe were banished. Perhaps God knowing how sinfull human being really did not wish to be offended for eternity by more sins so we got a shorter life span. I find it interesting that we still do actually get eternal life but must first pass thru physical death. SometimesI I think how blessed are the people who were never born- becouse the stakes are high and tbey have this way 0 opportunity to chose sin.

Because Satan knew that Adam was new, inexperienced, and an easy pushover and wasn’t going to interfere with Eve. Adam was present with Eve but He and Eve were both beguiled. The reason the woman was targeted because in Ch 3 Eve is pregnant after consummating the marriage in Chapter 2 which allows Satan to use the fruit to bring about the birth of Cain and the eventual murder of Abel.
@TheGamedogg81

Where are you seeing all this??? First; the woman was deceived, not Adam. She even tells God the serpent deceived me and I ate(vs. 13) Adam ate of his own free will. Second; nowhere does is say that Eve was pregnant yet, she will become pregnant but no one knows the time frame of this story. Third; Satan cannot bring life into this world, we don’t give Satan that much power. Now once in the world he is able to influence us just as he did Eve and then Adam. All Satan is is a deceiver and liar, other than that the only power he has is what God allows him to have and that is to kill, steal and destroy.

Easy, Genesis was written by a man. If Genesis were a Disney script it would be the man who succumbed to temptation. You left out the part about God fearing that if Adam ate the fruit of the tree of life "he would become as us".

Apparently reading comprehension is not your strong point. Adam was there right beside Eve. He saw and heard the entire conversation. It was Adam's attemp of casting blame away from himself that you are confusing with Eve tempting Adam. He had no one to blame but himself. We know that God personally told Adam about the forbidden fruit it is not clear how or if Eve was aware of the forbidden fruit. Men do believe that women are more gullible than men. Men are more likely to lie to women tha women lie to men.... Some superiority!

He tempted neither. The story is pure myth. The reason why the woman is made guilty reflects the status of women in that society. It is incredible that this story is believed as fact in this day and age.

Eve said GOD hath said to not eat of it or touch it cause you shall surely die, Eve knew not to eat of it!!, but her desire to be like GOD got the better of her,and gave to her husband also who was with her, maybe she looked at the tree alot before satan tempted her he knew she was facinated with it, who knows but one thing is for sure GOD already knew man would disobey, and already had Christ ready for our salvation, they had to be tested how would it be if they ate from the tree of life and ended up living foever in the flesh than sinned after would not be good thats why GOD safegaurded the tree of life just trust GOD and his Son for salvation and dont worry about it

If you read the scriptures, it says Adam was with Eve when she eats from the tree. He, being the head of their family, should have stopped her. Instead, he watched her eat, and when she never dropped dead ,then he ate . It also says sin ented after he eat. I find it strange that preachers never talk about the fact he was with her. Or the fact that he blames Eve and also God .

My old pastor did emphasize those points. I see the order in which God asked them to explain their decisions as, God gave each of them a chance to take some responsibility. The man said, "You put a woman here to help me and instead she tricked me, what was I supposed to do, be an adult?" The the woman said, "Someone offered me something so I took it, what was I supposed to do, be an adult?" And God sent them into the harsh outside world to develop into adults so they wouldn't be so irresponsible. But the reason the serpent first offered the fruit to the woman is that she was a gatherer and more drawn to fruit.

Culture of the time. Women are never favored in the Bible. I think you read too much into this, and if you do or take things literally, you can translate them as you like, you might find all sorts of alternate possible meanings. The main thing is that any text is heavily influenced by the culture and era it was written, as with anything or anyone.

That makes sense, I guess that explains why the prophets didn't scatter and run away when Elijah started to slay them, they thought they deserved it. But I still wonder why people who rejected the true God, would care about their own sin? False gods like ba'al don't require repentance, of course they don't talk or exist but the verses imply that the prophets were aware of the concept.✝

Satan tempted the woman because God instructed the man not to eat from the tree. There is no place in the Bible, that I have found, where the woman was commanded not to eat from the tree. They eyes were only open after Adam ate from the tree and sin and death only entered the world because Adam ate from the tree. Satan went through Eve to get to Adam. My believe is, if Adam had not eaten, Eve could have ate the whole tree and nothing would have change, no death,no sin.

She went to find solution to the reason Adam would not talk to her and wanted to be alone. So the deceiver met the woman in her wondering situation to proffer solution in the wrong way. The solution to Adam's sadness was the fruit, which he desired to eat. The reason why God said to the woman henceforth is your husband's desire shall be your desire, which is a curse. Eve only did what he had to do to make Adam happy. If you wish that l give a biblical explanation let me know.

Ahhhh, yes, the woman is the deliverer or savior of the man argument. Sorry, but the fact that God is ALSO our helper, who helps us in our time of need, doesn't mean that someone ELSE being a helper means they are in anyway supposed to be equated to God or His strength or position. Also, just because a word has multiple meanings doesn't mean the word can have those meanings in the same context, any more than the fact that BEAR can mean to carry, or it can mean a wild animal in the forest would allow you to use either meaning in any context. Paul makes it quite clear, the woman was made for man, not man for the woman. God set up a patriarchal system, the man is to be the leader, the woman is most fulfilled when she helps him with his mission and calling. Paul points out that she IS the weaker vessel and we must deal with her accordingly and also that they are more easily deceived, hence the prohibition from teaching or exercising authority over a man. It's that demonic Jezebel spirit that is at the heart of the feminist movement that deems being a helper a demeaning position. It is absolutely absurd to think that just because the same word is applied to God, that it in any way conveys the idea that the woman is some powerful deliverer that the man NEEDS.
