If your just an average guy doing this you did a great job I actually install Genracs for a living u probably saved a few thousand dollars but I didn’t see much wrong with this install besides having your Gen wire in emt conduits I actually came here because I forgot how to setup a dual transfer switch I’ve done them in the past but that’s been a few years ago so this was very informative

Very nice. I've seen some other folks get another junction box to put the micro air in. They also use magnets to mount it even though I would prefer some small self tapping screws. I like your little metal roof.

Those constant current fence chargers are no BS. Check the output with a florescent bulb. 2' or 4' works for me. One end in the dirt (ground) other pins on the wire. It will light up like normal. They WILL KILL a small animal. 2 squirrel & a 15 pound owl so far. Will also set dead grass on fire. They do not like to be grounded out for long or will burn up the cap or transformer.
@allenbowick4716Ай бұрын
Forgot to mention that rebar for a ground works for a year or so before corrosion takes its toll. If it bites you on the ground side there is a bad ground. I started using half of a real copper coated ground rod. No problem since.

I was curious would these Micro-Air units be re-usable, in your opinion? Say for example you had to have one of your AC units replaced, could you take this off and re-use on the replacement AC.
@willhancock19922 ай бұрын
You may want to get your answer from Micro-Air itself, but I see no reason why you could not do that. In the associated app, you can have the unit “relearn“ your heat pump if a major component is replaced, like the compressor or fan motor. That being said, it could easily relearn a different heat pump.

None. Power went tout twice in the last month. Both heat pumps started and ran with no issues on our Generac.

Yeah, let’s put illegal horns on my bike………. Stupid. You want people to hear you, find the loudest OEM horn, like an Audi 5000 and mount that. Just because you can buy it does not mean it is legal. Hell you can buy babies and crack online……..still not legal.

How do you get a broken plastic tip out of a Harbor Freight adapter or extension?

I’d try using something that’s very sharp or maybe heating it and melting the plastic some.

Is my new trans belt supposed to be turning when the parking brake is engaged? It drives fine with power so I dont think it is loose. Maybe too tight? Its the right size.
@willhancock19922 ай бұрын
I’m not sure. Others have commented that adjusting the drive belt is easier by setting the parking brake. I haven’t investigated that yet, but it sounds like setting the brake puts slack in drive belt.

Use snips to cut the tips off the antitheft device. They are closest to the rain, on every other socket. Push the annoying device into the socket from open end, it will force the devices tip to be more visible, snip all them off then pull the device out from other end.

One of these came on the tractor I bought but there's no way to secure the inner part to the tractor PTO so it appears that it slides in and out instead of the driveshaft sliding when raising and lowering. There's another style far better found one on sale.
@willhancock19926 ай бұрын
I would love to see a video of one that’s far better, because I might be interested in using it. To secure this to the PTO, you have to use a pin. I secure mine with a slotted spring pin that came with the overrun coupler I purchased maybe the previous user of your tractor lost the pin or did not use one, which should not be done.
