I recently pulled out my old Apeman. Thanks for your excellent video. The trick is to use Menu and Replay in Test mode. I thought my trail camera bit the dust but after replacing the batteries, it fired up superbly. We are trying to figure out what animal is creating 4" holes in the dirt under our deck.😀

Would you know if I use rechargeable NIMH could I recharge while in etrex via USB, actually looks like old digital camera port.

I don't think that would work. It it a old camera port. It basically allows you to connect the device to your computer for updates, etc. but that is all. I run 2 Energizer Lithium AA batteries in mine.

I've had my instinct solar 2 for about a year and now it SUCKS at holding a charge. It says the battery is at 100% and then dies the next day. I used to go about 23 days before having to recharge it. Now its about every other day. Not very impressed.

Yep it is easy to change, but no matter how many times I change it to statue miles, the watch face display remains on KM!

Hi there, no need for a MicroSD card if you just want to watch. You can still download your images and videos as well. The MicroSD card would be more for if have it in a location where it can't record to the cloud (no WiFi), thus instead it can record to the MicroSD card. Hope that helps.

That icon you are seeing is for the find my phone feature. If you do the following does it show your phone as connected? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZpqjqaRittfZZoE.html

I bought a used HC804A, when I power it on , it asks for a password. No manual , any suggestions?

Yikes that is crummy that someone would have sold it with a password on it. Other than trying to figure out the password all I can recommend is finding directions on how to do a firmware update. If you update the firmware it will reset the password. Here is their site maybe you can contact them for assistance doing that (usually they have to give you the firmware file) - suntekcamera.gr/

Thanks for this video! I'm a tech guy but the Instinct menu drives me insane. I think the reason your activities don't show steps is because all the activities you mentioned are gps based but I believe steps are registered via an accelerometer.

I just got my Instinct and fully charged it last weekend. I’m only showing 21% battery life left after 6 days. I’ve worn it quite a bit in the sun and only used GPS for less than 2 hours. Is there something I need to do/change to get the advertised battery life? Or will it improve going forward? Thanks.

I have no idea why your camera didn't turn on with Lithium as I have 4 cameras and all work fine with re chargeable batteries the only reason they recommend normal is due to the cold Lithium don't work well in very cold weather.

I don't like Lithium because they will always show as a full battery (even if they are getting ready to die). I don't use any batteries at all in the camera anymore, not I just run it solely on solar panel.

Mine has a HDMI connection and the that is going into a converter that fits the connections for a MacBook, so USB Video is not showing as an option

Steps as soon as you start wearing the watch. Body Battery within 24 hours because it needs your sleep, stress, etc. data.
