Hello, Humans!
This is Jason, and today I'm playing Five Parsecs from Home by Nordic Weasel Games and published by Modiphius!
Will the team succeed in their mission to deliver the objective to the drop point? Will they remember to rewind? Let's find out!
Seizure Warning? It's a bit shaky and flashy at the start.

Amazing. I really liked the whole thing: the intro stills with an amazing set up, the map itself, the crew intros, and the way you explain everything clearly and use vfx to add an extra to the whole thing. It's the sort of thing I was looking for as inspiration for my own battle reports. Keep the good work!

Firstly, I love the quick play through and all the special effects, it really showcases the games storytelling! Next. I downloaded the 2nd edition when it first came out, but never played a game, do you know how different the two editions are from one another? Is 3rd worth the cost or is it just in a snazzy new hard-bound cover??
@LudantoRugxa
@LudantoRugxa 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And the answer is "Yes!" It's worth the cost, and it's just a snazzy new hard-bound cover. Well, the art is beautiful and the book is pretty well organized. Things are overall explained better. There's probably new equipment (although I can't be sure). You start out in debt, trying to pay off your ship. There's "Luck" now which can make your characters a little tougher. If things feel too easy, though, you have the option to take on Red and Black Zone jobs for more of a challenge. There's a thing called a Story Track, and also advice on how to run 5 Parsecs as a Game Master. I mean, your value may vary, but I thought it was worth it. :)

Wow this is an amazing playthroughs. I have so many question as I just started myself. 1. What program did you use for your editing? 2. Can you point to any good resources to help with the effect of your minis dying and disappearing? That was well done. 3. How long did it take to make the edits from start to finish?
@LudantoRugxa
@LudantoRugxa 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Let's see. 1. The video editing program is Wondershare Filmora X. 2. All of the effects either came free with Filmora, or were purchased separately from Filmstocks.com which has some sort of relationship with Wondershare. Specifically the Blood Bursts pack and the Blockbuster pack. 3. It's hard to say how long the edits took as it didn't happen all at once. Doing the VO was drawn out for a couple of weeks by me being lazy and by my HVAC system constantly roaring in the heatwave. But the actual trimming of the scenes and adding special effects only took several hours. But I don't know what I'm doing, so that probably slows me down. ;) I hope that helps. Good lucky with your videos! :)

Amazing minis and terrain! I would love to have a pointer for 15 mm minis if you could. How big is the table? I guess you use 28mm scale rules but playing it in a 15mm scale? It looks like a very good fit though and certainly looks good for a modern/future skirmish
@LudantoRugxa
@LudantoRugxa 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The table was 2x2, which seems a bit tight, but keep in mind that there was a whole turn of mostly just movement, so it couldn't have been too bad. Got right to the action. In my experience, with the exception of things like blast templates and "how tall is an unclimable wall?" there's no need to do measurement conversions. Plus, NWG games almost _assume_ 15mm. I play all of his stuff in 15s. I get my 15mm minis wherever I can. There are a lot of great sites. Khurasan minis has a clunky site, but _great_ minis. I also like Rebel minis and Ral Partha Europe. My guards are from White Dragon Miniatures, and they're nice, but they don't have a _huge_ selection. Anyway, I hope that helps. Let me know if you have more questions. :)
