How do you prevent the clay bump not stick to the tool? Wet the inside prior to adding the clay or did you glaze the tool concave shape first?

This year, I improvised this video a little on the spot. I see that it was very popular, next year I will take a little more time to talk about all the pots.

The only issue I have with the inner wall is when the roots grow under the lip of the pot. It will be hard to take the tree out of the pot….. ❤❤❤

Totally underrated videos. I can see how many effort is putted in the making. Love it, but I recommend everyone to use safety eye wares when using power-grinding tools, for your health (talking out of own experience) 😉✌ keep up this great work!

I'm in awe of all your tools that you have designed. How wide are the walls of your pots when you first cut the slab sides? You seem to use the same dimension for those often.
@Greg-ceramics29 күн бұрын
thanks. Most of the time I use 8-10mm clay slabs. It's just because I'm comfortable with this thickness.

No one ever shows how they make the feet!!!! Why is it such a secret? lol. Your pots are beautiful. Do you sell the templates?
@Greg-ceramics29 күн бұрын
I've already shown how I sculpt feet in other old videos. ;-) Yes, the templates are for sale on my GumRoad page: gregceramics.gumroad.com/

Thank you for the content. How long until you flip it and add feet? I always get some sagging in my slab.
@Greg-ceramicsАй бұрын
I'm not waiting, I'm flip it right away. If the bottom is not firm enough, I put a temporary support inside. You can see this in some of my other videos.

Brilliant. Thank you. Have you thought of using a camera lucida or sketching projector to project the image onto the work surface. That way you don’t cover up the image as you work. Maybe it would help?
@Greg-ceramicsАй бұрын
Thanks, that's a good idea. But it's not necessary, before becoming a potter my first job was graphic designer-illustrator. ;)
